The Hideaway was wonderful!!! Very clean. All the amenities. Peaceful. Everything was as promised. It was a great new retirement getaway. Enjoyed the porch with its hot tub and nice wooded views. Close to Chimney Rock and the Biltmore.

Owner response: Thank you, Jack! I am happy that you had an enjoyable getaway at the Hideaway, and hope you have enjoyed the rest of your summer. Thanks for the review! Sincerely, April Miller

Spent two nights at the Log Cabin Hideaway at Saluda Lake Mountain Retreat for our first wedding anniversary. What a wonderful trip! We even brought our lab and she swam for the first time in the lake--too adorable! We will certainly be back! Great lodging choices whether you're going with one other person or ten other people! Don't have to bring anything but yourselves, the dog, groceries and beach towels for the lake and hot tub! Thank you April for our seamless reservations and to the staff for a great check in and stay!

Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your review. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your vacation with us, and greatly appreciate you referring others to stay with us! Hopefully you will be able to stay with us again sometime. Have a wonderful rest of your summer! Sincerely, April Miller

We were looking for somewhere to vacation that would allow us to forget about the rest of the world a few days. This cabin was perfect. We had such a great time being secluded, wandering the property...we can't wait to come back. Thanks for being pet friendly!

We enjoyed that we were close enough to Asheville to go to Biltmore for the day but when we came back here we felt secluded, which was nice. We had a great time and the staff were very friendly and very accessible!

The time spent with family away from work, bills, and the honey do list. Honey, apple cider, bb-q, mountain apples, site seeing...The quiet, starry nights spent in the hot tub in the woods were most enjoyable.

Spending quality time together was truly amazing. The scenery is astounding! The best part was probably sitting in the hot tub together while it was snowing! Just beautiful. This was the best Valentine's Day either of us has ever had!

We enjoyed the quiet and feeling like we were the only ones here. With three young children at home, quiet time for us is precious.

Beautiful views from the cabin - relaxing!! Mountain setting - very quiet and peaceful but not too far from Asheville and Hendersonville. Very happy with our vacation - the pictures online don't do the cabin or the property justice!

My husband who is a retired law enforcement officer (the last 14 years in CSI), and is still working part time in same, and I as a critical care nurse have what you may call stressful positions. We have been all over the Caribbean on cruises of all-inclusives of I'd say very well appointed. But to be able to drive a little more than a hour to Saluda and your retreat, is like going hundreds of miles to a beautiful and relaxing venue. We knew as soon as we got there, this was going to be "our place". And the best part is we are able to bring our wonderfully spoiled adopted dog, Docker with us. Thanks folks for providing a great haven, complete with dinner (trout).

We enjoyed most being able to spend uninterrupted time together, the waterfall was beautiful and the property was secluded, the cabin had everything we needed to lock ourselves away for a week.

We loved the many places to hike and fish. The Biltmore area is fantastic. We loved the view when waking up - the leaves were brilliant. Fishing was fun and the hot tub made for a perfect end-of-the-day after a long hike.

We felt right at home from the first day. Really nice change of pace to have the land and the beauty at your fingertips - Mark enjoyed the fishing boat, he's still striving for the "big one". This is truly nature at its best! We located the waterfalls, but did not get the full experience - next trip! Do not change a thing, we loved everything as is.
