This home is the best value and perfectly designed for families in need of a get-a-way! Besides being in an all-American small town with plenty of activities for kids and adults and within a day trip of places like Williamsburg and Kings Dominion, this house couldn't be better suited for you and your family.
Imagine being at a huge, lake-front home where playing in the lake, getting out on a boat, and having fun in the sun is all there is on your agenda for the whole week. After a great day of family time outside, you come back to the house and grill your favorite meal. The aroma of that meal lets you know it's been worth it all. Sit, relax, have that beverage and rest knowing everything is just fine at Pine Landing.
For the adults, there are two master-bedrooms, both with cable TVs and king-size beds. The main master-bedroom also includes a DVD player and french doors opening out to a deck with a lake view. The adults will enjoy their own living area with fireplace, High Definition DirectTV with 185 channels, DVD and Surround Sound, cloth and leather furniture. There is also a screened-in porch overlooking the lake. Additionally, there is a sun porch with cozy seats, plenty of books, double french doors with yet another deck, also overlooking the lake. The kitchen is completely furnished - don't pack a single cooking utensil.
For the kids, they have their own living room (with a separate door if they get too loud), their own TV, DirectTV with 185 channels and DVD, three bedrooms and two full baths, and separate HVAC system. The showers in these rooms have pre-set temperature control for added peace of mind.
For everyone, there is plenty of parking area - even for your trailers there is a circular drive - a large back yard, sloping walk to the lake and your own private dock with ladder. There is plenty of water depth for your big boat and launching ramps are less than five minutes from the house. So bring your whole family, your boats and jet skis, and get ready to have plenty of quality time together. Oh, the dog is welcome, too.

I rented the house for a summer getaway vacation for a family of 6 adults. The house has plenty of room for a large family or multiple families to enjoy different activities like reading, television and boardgames without disturbing each other. The backyard is large and open with a great view of the lake and dock areas. The bedrooms and specifically the mattress/covers in several bedrooms are in need of updating and not very clean. The bathrooms also need some updating. The open kitchen floor plan and living room was a nice touch and provides lots of room. We rented this house in the fall of 2009 for 4 families and had a great time! The lake is beautiful and we saw a few fish from the dock which the kids enjoyed. Big back yard for kids to play in, comfortable kitchen and bedrooms. Thank you for sharing your house with us!Recommended for: Families with young children.

What a GREAT house for a large family. We rented the place for Thanksgiving weekend at a reasonable rate. Our three grown sons and their families joined us for a weekend of great food, college football and board games with the grandkids. We had 62 degree weather on Thanksgiving and Friday, so that was icing on the cake. The kids played and watched videos in their rec room and never disturbed the people enjoying their football games upstairs. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of water pressure for a nice hot shower (my two main complaints with most rental houses). The kitchen is indeed well stocked and the owners are incredibly generous with their own supplies. The property is really lovely and you can see the lake from the large windows across the back of the house. We are already thinking of a summer retreat for the family. About the owner: I am an American Sign Language interpreter, and co-own a business providing language interpreters. When not working, I like escaping to Kerr Lake and getting out on the boat and jet skis. I have a dog and she goes with me everywhere, especially on vacation!
Why the Owner Chose Clarksville:
Pine Landing has been in our family for many years and is perfect for us because it's just three hours from home. It's easy to get to, but remote enough that we really feel like we've gotten away from the hustle and bustle of busy cities. Small town America is the 'lap' of our country. Just like sitting on my Dad's lap as a kid, it's a safe, comfortable place to go back to over and over. It brings us great satisfaction to share Pine Landing with other families, knowing the house is giving pleasure and respite to many people.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
One of the rituals we have when we are at Pine Landing is whoever gets up first starts the coffee and runs into town to pick up a Richmond Times newspaper. We all go to the enclosed porch, drink coffee, read the newspaper and watch the lake wake up. It's then that someone offers to make breakfast for everyone - usually pancakes or eggs wins the vote.
Then we plan out who's doing what that day. Is it boating, jetskiing, antiquing in town, running over to South Boston (about 30 minutes away) to go to the movies or just hanging out at home?
At night, we usually cook in every other night, and eat out the other nights. We love grilling out - burgers, steaks, chicken or lamb chops.
