Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 1975
About the owner: Lee & Linda met in Aspen and bought this little ranch to raise Appaloosas and Quarter horses. It was a dream come true. Lee is the horse guy and Linda is an artist, who paints the horses and teaches dance & exercise.
Why the Owner Chose Basalt:
We used to live in Aspen but needed more property for the horses. When we moved 'downvalley' people couldn't understand it. Now all of our friends have moved here, as well, and 'downvalley' has become the popular place to be.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Our location is a perfect place to be in the Roaring Fork Valley. Glenwood Springs, with its famous Hot Springs Pool and Yampa Caves, Water Wave and recreation Parks, Concerts is 18 minutes in one direction and world renown Aspen/Snowmass, is 18 minutes in the other direction. In between is Carbondale & Basalt with their own unique character including fairs, concerts, family owned shops, galleries and restaurants. Whole Foods has joined the valley only 3 miles from the ranch. When we are home it's quiet, beautiful and cozy and yet if we want to join all the amazing activities of the valley, up and down, it's a hop, skip and jump away.
