About the owner: Joanie and I restore and manage historic buildings in Ann Arbor, Michigan and we use the Boathouse as our vacation home for friends and family. We each grew up in Michigan and feel the draw of Lake Michigan and the small town charm of Douglas. We spend a lot of time at the Boathouse and are always making improvements.
Why the Owner Chose Douglas:
Location, Location, Location A short walk to Douglas. Ride your bike to the beach yet we are located in a quiet residential side street. Saugatuck and Douglas are quaint small towns. We spent two years driving the west coast of Lake Michigan to find the perfect spot.
