The Best Vacation Ever!

The Lazy Pineapple is the perfect spot for your ideal vacation. The house was gorgeous with all the necessities for the perfect vacation. This house could easily sleep 16+ people, but for this vacation I, my husband, 2 year old son and my two parents stayed here. The house was amazing. The kitchen was awesome, fully stocked with all your cooking needs. My parents slept down stairs in a very comfy room (with a bathroom attached). We slept upstairs in the master suite… and let me tell you…this room is gorgeous! The pictures just do not do this house justice. My 2 year old son slept in the room next door in a crib that was provided by the owners. For anyone who has little ones, you know what a relief it is not to have to pack the highchair, pack-n-play, nightlight etc. The owners provided all this for us…and made our vacation so “baby friendly.” The location of this house is PERFECT! It is just about a block from the ocean…such an easy walk… we did drive just because we had a 2 year old and more beach toys than any one child should have :) But if you have small children the owners also provided a couple of wagons that they could climb in and then be pulled down to the beautiful sandy beaches. I don’t want to forget to mention that the owners had all the beach toys/sand buckets you could imagine that they have collected over time that kids can play with… so no need to bring a lot of beach toys like us… just one more convenient/thoughtful bonus to the Lazy Pineapple. I need to also include the fabulous private heated pool that comes with the house. Oh my goodness, we could have, and pretty much did spend the bulk of our vacation in the pool. It has a shower right by the pool, so when you get back from a long day at the beach, you can wash all the sand off and then spend hours just chillaxin in the crystal clean pool. The pool was one of our favorite parts of the vacation. The steps leading into the pool made it very easy for my mom and 2 year old to get in and out. I could absolutely write a novel on how much we LOVED the Lazy Pineapple, but I am only allowed so much space for this review. I guess I will wrap this up with saying the house is awesome, the beaches are awesome, the location is awesome, the shopping is awesome, but most importantly… John and Dawn (the owners) are awesome. Please…if you are looking for an amazing vacation destination the Lazy Pineapple is it! You will not be disappointed!! Thank you so much John and Dawn… You’re the BEST!!

Loved the house, the location, shopping, etc. A few specific comments from our family: Very nice accommodations, amazing, liked the outdoor shower. We went to Harbor Docks for dinner one night. It was excellent. Pricey, but it was the best food we had. My in-laws really liked the separate apartment and the wine. Thx for allowing us to stay in such a beautiful home. It was perfect for us. I'm sure we'll return to Destin in the future!

We had such a great time and enjoyed the beautiful home. We had 12 people stay and had plenty of room. Ended up letting the teenage kids stay in the in-law quarters, that worked out nice since they go to bed so much latter and sleep longer in the morning. Thanks John and Dawn for the wonderful vacation home. And for all the helpful advice-our family and daughters seniors picture were beautiful thanks to frost imaging.

Just wanted to tell you that we had a fabulous time at the Lazy Pineapple. The house was perfect!! My kids loved the pool and did not want to leave. I hope we left the house the way you expected!!

We stayed in this home for 1 week and it was awesome. I have 3 small boys and they enjoyed the pool at the house more than they did the beach. The walk to the beach was a great time to explain the rules of the beach to the boys. We also had 2 other families stay with us in the house, which totaled 12. It was actually big enough for all of us. We did not run into each other at all. Very convienent location. I will be back to stay here in the future. The house was very clean and well decorated. The owners were great about providing us with the information that we need to complete our stay.

Sight unseen (other than the internet) my family booked a last minute spring vacation this year at the Lazy Pineapple. Without a personal recommendation, we were a little apprehensive as to the booking. As it turned out, we had nothing to worry about. The house was clean and spacious. The owners were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The location is excellent: 2 blocks south to the beach - 2 blocks north to the shopping areas, yet in a quiet, homey neighborhood. My daughters (ages 3 and 6) loved the pool. I am already looking forward to our next stay!

Wonderful vacation home in Destin! We have stayed in this same house for 3 years in a row if that tells you anything. We love the location...close to the beach and to shopping! Plenty of space for large families and well kept. Has everything you need to have a fun and relaxing vacation. Would recommend again and again!
