Granby Ranch (formerly SolVista) house description
Enjoy a private home and have the hot tub to yourselves. There is plenty of space to bring friends and family. This is a 3 story cabin duplex. Main floor offers family room with TV and gas fireplace, leather couches, chaise lounge, recliner - plenty of seating. Covered Deck/Patio off kitchen with chairs to relax and enjoy the view. Kitchen opens to family room and dining room. Kitchen offers all appliances and is fully stocked - pans, dishes, silver....pack a picnic and head out for the day.
Couches are very comfortable and are long enough to sleep on if needed. Beds for 7 - plus 2 on couches. Space to accommodate air mattresses if you bring them. Pack light - washer and dryer in unit.
Nearby is Hot Sulfer Springs - soak in the natural pools year round. Visit Grand Lake for fun dining, interesting shopping and local micro brews. Winter Park & Fraser offer more restaurants, local crafts/shopping and local museums. Fraser also offers the wonderful tubing hill behind KFC...not to be missed. We are only 10 miles from Rocky Mountain Natl Park. This is high country and the park is partially open in the winter. The scenery is spectacular and wildlife sightings are common.
Granby Ranch Ski Resort opens 12/11/14 and Winter Park/Mary Jane are open 11/12/14. Snow is here and lots of it. Granby offers a great beginner ski program...ski within the day. Granby Ranch has two mountains - a green/blue and another for blue/black. Sit at the lodge fire pit and watch the kids - both mountains end their runs at the base in front of the lodge. Let the kids go off on their own. For non skiers - Devils Thumb Ranch in nearby Tabernash has a wonderful spa package.
All this is so easy to get to - Denver Airport is about 2 hours from our door. Steamboat is 2 hours north, Vail and Beaver Creek are less than 2 hours west, Keystone is a little over an hour south....so much fun close by.
Groceries/Gas within 2 miles on main highway before entering Granby Ranch. Civilization exists - even a McDonald's and Starbucks if needed.
We have everything to make this our home away from home - and yours as well. Enjoy!

About: We live in Florida....and wish we could live in Colorado full time. This was our favorite place to relax -high country, open views, and mountains all around. You can see for miles. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Why Granby Ranch (formerly SolVista): Location, location - close to ski slopes, all types of outdoor activities.
The Unique Benefits at this House: It's all about the views, the quiet, the clean air.... We enjoy the porch - drinking that first cup of coffee in the morning and watch the beauty of the sun rising on the Rockies. At night, sit in the hot tub and gaze at the Colorado sky and stars.
