This is an authentic oceanfront cottage from the 1930's, located on historic Main Beach, and available to the select few who appreciate what early Florida beach living was like ... a way of life still to be found at our beach house.
An old-fashioned cottage personally hand-built on the Amelia Lighthouse Reservation by one of the beach's first residents and still owned by his family. Small and somewhat rustic - but has charm and character, all necessities and some comforts, a touch of 30's design sophistication, a most convenient location, and one of the best ocean views on Amelia Island. As an added attraction you can catch your dinner by throwing a fishing line into the surf out front ... while the family watches the action from the porch swing and rocking chairs.
Located next to Elizabeth Pointe Lodge (fine breakfasts and light meals); one block to Main Beach park, children's playground, beach shops, an upscale oceanside restaurant, and a "Jimmy Buffett" style cafe and watering hole; one mile to the Downtown Historic District and its fashionable shops, gourmet restaurants, and local haunts; and a short bike ride or drive to Fort Clinch State Park, golf courses, tennis courts and other attractions.
While here, enjoy all that Amelia Island has to offer - internationally known for it's stunning nature setting, simple pleasures and sophisticated amenities, and a wide variety of year-round special events and activities.
