The best location to see it all!

Guest: The Drinks Team (Los Angeles)
Date of Stay: 06/18/11 Review Submitted: 07/16/11

The location is perfect--close to all areas of the city that you would want to see, both by driving or walking. The area is quiet and super easy to park in front of the house. Very convenient. Now, to the house itself--also perfect. Well appointed, nice accommodations for four people without getting in each other's ways, fun to be in. We will be back to take advantage of this great place!

Worth SO Much More Than We Paid!

Guest: LindsB (Washington, D.C.)
Date of Stay: 07/01/11 Review Submitted: 07/15/11

Oh my -- Where to start? Our stay here far exceeded our expectations. This was our second time in New Orleans -- and we decided to stay away from the French Quarter for a more relaxing and authentic vibe. The unit is literally in the perfect location. When you walk out the door you are a 10 minute walk to down town, go straight and St. Charles St. is a few blocks ahead. Turn left and you are lead down Magazine to rows of boutique-y restaurants and shops **Surrey's for breakfast, Juan's Flying Burrito -- great drinks**. I’m a 24 year old female and I felt safe walking outside to the car at night to retrieve belongings. Although it appears to be located on an industrial street, the neighborhood is very pleasant and well inhabited. Inside was amazing! The furnishings were rustic yet modern, rich and inviting. The AC system cranks so don’t worry about living in a sweat box. The kitchen is stocked with all the essential cooking tools. They even have an “owner’s closet” with the non-essential items you need, but never think to pack—plastic cups, napkins, dryer sheets. My Navy boyfriend was ELATED they had a communal washer/dryer in the hall so he didn’t have to do laundry when he got back to base. The upstairs loft is insanely spacious! I looked at the tags on the pillows because I HAD to have them on my own bed (The Company Store btw.) The unit does not skip a beat in luxury items. Great bedding and towels – everything was clean and fresh. The interior decoration was amazing – I mobile uploaded pics to brag to all my friends about my stellar accommodations. Also, which we found a day or two into the trip there is a brand new Walmart a few blocks away to stock the house! (probably want to drive to it.) VERY WORTH THE PRICE YOU PAY. I think that was my biggest take away here – more bang for your buck than a hotel by far. The split level unit made cooling off in the house during the hot days a desirable option. I didn’t feel cooped up in a hotel room or like I was wasting my time inside. The owner’s were very responsive to my pre and post rental inquiries which was very refreshing. Highly recommend this unit! Will stay here when I return to New Orleans -- started to feel like home and I was sad to leave :(

Wonderful NOLA Getaway!

Guest: Kim (Mobile, AL)
Date of Stay: 06/03/11 Review Submitted: 06/14/11

The condo was absolutely fabulous and was everything we needed for a fantastic couples retreat in New Orleans. The decor was instantly soothing upon arrival and had most everything we needed for a great stay. We could not locate a coffee maker but did locate a great coffee shop a few blocks down Magazine (Mojo's). The condo is within walking distance of several Warehouse museums (DDay, Children's Museum) and is perfectly situated for those who prefer to stroll. We will definitely return and recommend to friends. Enjoy your stay...we already want to return!

Lower Garden District Getaway

Guest: Gabriele2 (San Francisco)
Date of Stay: 03/24/11 Review Submitted: 04/18/11

We loved this apartment and are already planning a return trip. The pictures do not do it justice. Unprepossessing on the outside, it is a haven on the inside. Absolutely charming, appointed with just what we needed and no more. Style and comfort. In fact, when we came home, we were inspired to do a make over on our own house! Julie was kind enough to send us the paint names and we will use those colours in our parent’s house! We loved the location – we walked the neighborhood and up and down Magazine Street, bought a bus pass and took the St. Charles streetcar up to Audubon Park and down to the French Quarter, walked to the Garden District at all hours. We rented a car for the last days of our trip and were able to park right out front. We loved the price, for a family of four from San Francisco, it was a bargain – big rooms, a courtyard that we dined in by candlelight, an whole extra apartment for the girls. We could have moved in to stay. Thank you, Julie! We will be back!

I wanted to let you know that we really loved your place on Magazine Street. We had a perfect vacation and it was great to see New Orleans after 22 years! I really like how you converted/updated the home and the furniture you have. What is the paint color name in the Bedroom (the kind of grey/tan)? I am asking because I would like to paint a room in our house the same way. Anyway, I wanted to let you know, and I'm sorry it has taken so long, that we absolutely loved our stay. Thank you for making such a great place for us to stay while enjoying New Orleans.

Don't be put off by the slightly creepy vacant buildings next door! This apartment is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. Magazine st puts funky cafes, bars and shopping on your doorstep and it's just a $5 cab ride from the French Quarter. We loved calling this apartment home and will definitely be back.

Great Place

Date of Stay: 03/09/09 Review Submitted: 11/30/10

We stayed here in March of 2009 and it was really great. The apartment is perfect for two singles, a couple or two couples. It is very comfortable with easy access to all the NOLA has to offer. 2 blocks to the Streetcar stop and 1 block to a great little tavern. I would reserve this place again in a heartbeat

The Best Place to Stay

Guest: Troy (Seattle)
Date of Stay: 09/10/10 Review Submitted: 10/04/10

I would highly recommend this property for a short stay or a long vacation. I took my three sisters to New Orleans for a week and stayed in this property. What a GREAT place to stay very clean, well maintained and in the best location you could ask for. Everything about this place is very impressive especially the Master Suite! If you stay here you don't need to rent a car because the trolly is so close and there are lots of nice shops within walking distance.
