This was our first experience at Mexico Beach after many years in the Destin area.I didn't want to leave the friendly confines of the beach. Four of us stayed at Water's Edge and loved every minute of our stay. The condo is just as it was described by the owner. It was very clean and well equipped. The beds were super comfortable, especially after a long day of soaking in the sun. The layout of the condo was perfect via our experience. Being just steps from the beach was really nice, as it wasn't a big deal to walk back to the condo once you were at the beach, plus you don't have to worry about dealing with keys, as the owner installed an electronic lock to gain entry. The beach is never crowded and hope that it stays that way. I was amazed at how nice the beach was and we saw dolphins every morning in the surf. Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas are great places to see, while you are there. The owner, April, was very helpful and very accessible, which is nice to know during your stay. I'd highly recommend staying here and we will return soon. We'd heard about this place from a friend who knew there were new owners. Since it was so well situated, we thought we'd try it out. It is just one house from the beach and has some beautiful unobstructed views of the Gulf from several angles, including a big covered porch whis is perfect for watching the sunset. While is not direct beachfront, it is only step away and doesn't feel crowded by other houses. It's close enough for an impromptu stoll and for a fully equipped day at the beach that is not a logistical struggle The main floor has a large kitchen/dining/living space that easily accomodated six for meals and lounging. The kitchen is fully sized and fully equipped roomy enough for two to work. We made most of our meals in and found everything we needed for simple and more involved cooking. Right behind the kitchen is a secondary entrance/mudroom with a full size washer and dryer. This is really great for keeping the house clean. There is a master and a second bedroom on the first floor, both are large and well furnished with new mattresses. The master has an en suite and there is a full bath next to the second bedroom. There were plenty of clean linens avaialble as well. The house smelled very clean as well which is not always the case in beach rentals. A big plus. There was also plenty of water pressure and hot water which is another big plus. While we weren't there at the hottesdt time of the year, I can say that the A/C blows plenty cold and is quiet and unobtrusive. The two bedrooms upstairs are cute and probably good for kids or maybe one adult in each. Perhaps the only downside is no upstairs bath, but the main bath is right at the foot of the steps. Steps are also something I thought would be a concern since the main floor is one flight up form the street, but it's kind of a vlessing in that you have more privacy and a better view. I could use the exercise anyway. The owners were a joy to work with and very enthusiastic to see that were were comfortable and satisfied. They indicated that they really want to make sure they can cater to tenants who appreciate a rental that is just a step above. They shared that they'd love to build a word of mouth following. I have every reason to want to help them do that!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay was wonderful, a 1 minute walk to the beach, the views from the porch, the sound of the surf while drinking our coffee in the morning - just wonderful. The condo is very comfortable, just like being at home...you must stay here and enjoy the peace as we did........Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. The location cannot be beat -- we watched sunset from the front porch and spent the day with the kids going back and forth to the beach. It was so beautiful and being so close to the beach made it so easy to come and go easily. The house is comfortable and beautifully furnished. The outside of the building looks like an old Florida condo but the inside is completely updated with a fully equipped kitchen. The upstairs loft bedrooms were small, but perfect for our kids. My husband loved the big screen TV and my kids loved that NetFlix was built into the tv! You can walk to Beach Pizza (where the kids went daily for ice cream!) and the Mexico Beach Pier is only about 3 blocks away, so it made a great walk on the beach to check out the people fishing from the pier. Thank you, thank you, thank you or this comfortable home away from home -- everything you want from a beach vacation. There were many little extras that made it easy to instantly feel at home. We're hoping to return this summer!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
