A lovely log cabin to rent, nicely appointed, clean, just like the photos. Great living room, perfect for two families for a ski weekend. Loved the fireplace. We came up late on a Friday evening and had some trouble finding the house but the owners answered our call immediately. You absolutely must have a four wheel drive vehicle in the winter as our minivan didn't make it up the driveway or Pike Farm road for that matter. We had to park the car several miles down the road and our friends with a Pilot shuttled us back and forth. There was a water issue that the owners immediately got a repair person to the house to fix. Very close to Mt. Snow. WIth the right car, would definitely come back again, would maybe try the summer.
Owner response:So glad that we were able to get the hot water heater repaired in time for morning showers! After never having had problems with renters getting up the road in the past, we will now recommend that all-wheel or 4-wheeldrive is recommended in icy conditions. We were also glad that our caretaker was able to come out right away to re-plow and sand the road. We are always committed to making sure our renters are safe and comfortable!

Wonderful, cozy, spacious cabin. Went for a family skiing weekend. So close to Mt. Snow! Arrived during snow storm, luckily had large SUV with 4-wheel drive or the steep driveway could have been tricky. House is perfect for families. Open floor plan, 3 nice size bedrooms, fully equipped. Kids loved sledding down the driveway! Would definitely consider staying here again. After a full day of skiing, was nice to have such a short ride home. Owner's were wonderful to deal with. Driveway was plowed before we got up in the morning.

Great cabin! It is spacious and clean, well-equipped and comfy. I slept so well in the king-sized bed, and we all had a great time lounging by the fire (after our hikes and bike rides at Jamaica State Park and Grout Pond). We also loved the Maple Leaf Pub in Wilmington. So much to do, but with a lot of incentive to take it easy.

I would highly recommend this property. Clean and up to date. The only difficulty we had was the steep dirt drive, and only because we were on motorcycles. Perhaps a T.V. channel listing would have been helpful but come on who watches T.V. when you have a porch like that? The property owner was very easy to deal with.

My friends and I were staying there a week ago. Pros: beautiful log cabin, well-maintained, spacious yet cozy. Minutes away (5min) from Mt. Snow, restaurants, shopping. Convenient location right off Rt. 100. They owners are very friendly and responsive, a pleasure to deal with. Cons: no Internet. Cell phone coverage is spotty at best (Verizon didn't work at all, and AT&T would sometimes get one bar). However, there are several places nearby (e.g. Dot's Diner or the Library) that offer free wireless. The driveway is quite steep, you may need a four-wheel drive in snowy conditions.
Owner response:We are happy to say that the cell service has much improved at the cabin in the last couple of years and there is a landline in the cabin where incoming calls can be received as well as local outgoing calls (a calling card can be used for long distance). Unfortunately, internet in the mountains is a bit spotty and is not yet available at our particular location. FairPoint Communications has assured us they will provide us with service as soon as it's available. One of the great things about our cabin is that it is truly the perfect place to relax and get away from all the craziness and stresses of life!

Cabin was great - warm, comfortable, clean and well located. We went during a severe snow storm - you do need a 4WD vehicle to climb up/down the steep hill to the house, but beautiful views once you get there!

We were a group of 7 who drove up from NYC for a weekend and had a fantastic time. The house is wonderful. The huge living room and kitchen are open , well stocked, and comfortable. Everything is clean and the house has anything you could need. Everything feels new. We couldn't recommend it more! It's definitely worth the drive from NYC.
