  A couple buddies and I were lucky enough to stay here thanks to a friend knowing the owners, Shayne and Shannon. This place worked out perfect for us! We had our rental mini van to charge around to the many nearby surf breaks and were able to check the surf from the house which looks down on Wilderness! The house provided great surf flicks, books and mags to keep us occupied during siesta time. Stocked kitchen allowed us to get groceries and cook most of our meals and pack our surf lunches! I'd recommend this place to anyone going to PR looking for surf, adventures or just a relaxing time in the sun!

  My wife and I visited with a 3 year old and 6 month old and had a amazing trip. The house is clean and comfortable, kid friendly, and was perfect for our family. The location is probably even better for surfers, but it was also a good location for us non-surfers to use as a base while exploring the west coast beaches. We always enjoyed coming back to the Blue House after our day trips, and the view from the back is stunning. Traveling with kids can be often difficult but with great beaches within short range, we were able to make a couple relaxed outings a day separated by kids napping at the house. The hammock overlooking the coast was perfect for an afternoon siesta. Overall, this house is an excellent value and a great home base for a family trip to PR's west coast. We have recommended to place to friends and look forward to our next trip!

  We absolutely loved our visit to the blue house! For a traveling family with two young children, this property immediately captivated our imagination and feel for Puerto Rico living. The cool vibes that emanate from this home will make anyone feel as if they have been swept away in the spirit of the Caribbean. The dual access to great surf coupled with all amenities one could ask for was a bonus. The set up for kids is amazing, the views are breathtaking and the people are very friendly. We highly recommend this property and cannot wait to return!

  My girlfriend and I were looking for a place in Aguadilla to share with two other couples when we were fortunate enough to meet Shayne and Shannon. Our goal was to find a house with a view, walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants, and centrally located for surfing. This house was all that and more. We woke up every day and looked out over Wilderness Beach, hoping to see the next Northwest swell lines coming through. We walked to get our groceries for breakfast and to restaurants for dinner. We were close to Wilderness, Surfers' Beach, Jobos, Middles, and only a 20 minute drive to Maria's and the Rincon beaches. For any surfing trip to PR, Aguadilla is the place to be since it picks up 270 degrees of swell direction, is small enough to provide an authentic local atmosphere while being friendly to travelers. And in Aguadilla, this property will be our home away from home every time we are lucky enough to be in PR. On the days that the surf was not pumping (few and far between), we found a waterfall 30 minutes inland that we were able to jump off of. Shayne gave us fantastic recommendations, including this waterfall and other eco-sites, as well as restaurants and spots off the beaten path.   We were completely blown away by all the great beaches and activities so close to the house. We were expecting to drive much more on this trip but nothing was more than 30 minutes away for us. Dad was able to surf monster waves while Mom and 2 1/2 year old played contentedly on the vast and diverse beaches nearby. The house itself made us feel right at home instantly. It is very clean and well kept with comfortable furnishings, Caribbean colors, and great artwork throughout. The kitchen is very easy to work and cook in and there are several choices of grocery stores nearby. With the view from the lanai dining table we didn't want to eat anywhere else! All the bedrooms are uniquely cool and quite comfortable. The trade wind blowing through the windows is refreshing and was very comfortable for sleeping. The spacious yard with impressive playground was adored by us and our toddler. She also loved seeing the goats, horses, chickens, flocks of cattle egrets, hummingbirds and other colorful native birds we could see from the yard. It is a very well gated and fenced yard for children and we always felt very safe. There is a nice bench and outdoor shower to rinse off the sand and sort through your shells when you get home from a great day at the beach. We used it often as well as the hammock that is perfectly placed where you can gaze out at the ocean below. This is also a great spot to grab your binoculars to check the surf and look for humpback whales breaching in the big blue. Some of our favorite beaches were Dunes (20 min), Playa Jobos (15), Crashboat (10), Wilderness to Wishing Wells (10), Playa Maria's (30). They all have something different and special about them and all worth checking out. Surfer or not, there is something for everyone here. Being huge fans of the show "On Surfari" we figured that if Shayne and Shannon decided to buy a house in Puerto Rico after surfing and traveling the world, then it must be spectacular. Save your time and money traveling the world and just go to Puerto Rico!! It's not so hyper-pasturized American that you don't feel like your on a real adventure. The place worked its magic on us for sure. And as far as value, you can't beat it. We felt that the house is worth way more than they are charging. PR itself is very inexpensive as well. Thanks to Shayne and Shannon for doing all the research and finding us a perfect spot to vacation. We will definitely put this one on the repeat list!

  The sunlight in the morning through an abundance of windows, the warmth of the Puerto Rican breeze (offset perfectly by AIR CONDITIONING! when it was hot in the afternoon) walls painted in gorgeous colors and murals, tropical plants and artistic ocean oriented wall hangings- all of these amenities give this rental 5 stars and I would recommend it to everyone! We absolutely Loved the property, the view is a postcard, and the quiet, secluded area gave us the feeling of a home in paradise, I didn't want to leave and intend to go back as soon as I can. You can check the surf from the front porch! There are also great restaurants, including a fabulous pizza place within walking distance and great local food one block from there. If you are considering Puerto Rico, this is the best place we stayed on our trip and I would highly recommend it.

  Rented the blue house with some buddies for a week. Brought in the new year with some pumping waves! We were in a perfect spot to run right down to Wilderness (can see it from the yard) or the north coast when the swell was down. Quick 30 min drive to Rincon when the surf was pumping. The house was really comfy - it was nice to sleep with no A/C and let the trade winds blow through the windows. Shayne and Shannon have set up the property and the house with a fun island surfy feel. It was nice to have privacy and an amazing view to come back to after each day of shredding! Highly Recommend! Richard

  The house is beautiful, the views are stunning and the location is perfect. Everything went smooth, had NetFlix on demand and plenty of surf movies to entertain. You can't really get much closer to the best surf spots in the area and the house is quietly and privately set over looking Wilderness surf spot. Everything I needed was there and I used the full kitchen and local grocery store to save money of food. I'd recommend i to anyone and already have to some of my friends.
