My wife and 3 kids spend a GREAT WEEKEND in Tahoe and found a "Jewel in the Rough!" Our accommodations were clean, comfortable and cozy. We had plenty of room and felt like we were truly in a "home away from home." We had a peaceful stay, but were close to our skiing and other recreational activities. We will surely come back again!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks for your kind review.

My daughter, partner and I spent January 25th thru the 29th at this sweet little condo. It was recommended by a friend and, after looking at the VRBO ad, I thought it would be a great place to celebrate my birthday. I was right! 'Truth in Advertising' is the first thought that comes into my head. Almost every aspect of the owner's description of the unit is true. In the cases where it wasn't, the reality was better. The location was perfect for us, the amenities were more than adequate, The unit was spotless when we arrived. The owner went above and beyond expectations in his response to questions and concerns. The photos didn't do justice to the condo, it's much more cozy than it looks. I will recommend this property to anyone looking for a great vacation spot. We like to BBQ, so the first night we were there we used the gas grill located on the back deck. The owner gave very clear instructions about how to fire it up. The condo is so close to the Tahoe Rim Trail and Heavenly, it's unbelievable. We love to hike, so the second day we went to CV Sports Rentals located just up the road on Tramway Drive, and rented snowshoes. (I'm giving CV a five star rating on Yelp.) There is also a small market next door to CV, Tramway Market and Grocery. That prevents driving down into town to by essentials. We didn't do any skiing this trip, but will on our next trip. With the ski slope so close, why not? The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were so nice that we made almost every meal there. After a great morning of snowshoeing on the TRT, we did eat at The Red Hut on Kingsbury Grade. I highly recommend it for breakfast and lunch. The staff is friendly, the food is well prepared and my partner said that the hamburger was the best ever. The one aspect where I would make a cautionary note: there are stairs in the unit (obvious from description and photos). If anyone in your group has difficulty managing stairs, this may not be the ideal place for you. We were celebrating my 55th birthday and I hope to be able to visit here for at least another 30 years. We will be back again and again. I owe a huge 'thank you' to my friend who recommended it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your kind review.

Our family of 5 stayed here for our first trip to Tahoe during the holidays, and weren't sure where to stay. After coming across this listing and contacting the owner, we chose this property, and we couldn't have been happier! We really got lucky! The owner was helpful and accomodating, and seemed to have thought of everything we'd need for convenience. The place was clean and cozy, nicely decorated, conveniently located yet tucked away on a quiet cul de sac. The photos on the listing were nice and complete for planning our stay. We've stayed at vacation rentals before, and this was the cleanest of them all. Convenience items were carefully thought out rather than merely collected over time, and there was ample space for us. We had very easy access to Heavenly ski resort and the town of Stateline was only a few miles down the road. Having never been there before, we were very pleased with South Lake Tahoe. The whole family enjoyed and highly recommends the 'Illusion Fusion' show with Alex Ramos at the Horizon - a great evening activity! The owner is nearby, and was available and friendly. All in all, I expect we'll be back, and we will hope to stay in this exact place! I highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great place to stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My wife and I along with another couple just spent 3 great nights at this rental less than 5 minutes from Boulder and Stagecoach lodges at Heavenly Valley. The location was great, set up on a hill with views of the surrounding mountains and a small glimpse of the lake. The layout was spatious for a two bedroom with all the ammenaties that you would ever want for a cabin. The whole cabin is very modern and well decorated making you feel as though you are in your own space. The kitchen was one of the highlights, and we put the oven and stove to good use on a nightly basis. The owner was also very knowledgeable about the area and provided us with numerous tips about places to eat and things to see. This place was the perfect ski cabin for us, and I'm sure it is equally enjoyable during the summer months as well.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: We have lived in the Tahoe area over 15 Years and would not trade it for anything. This has been our home for over 10 years.
Why the Owner Chose Stateline:
This property is conveniently located to Heavenly and all of Tahoe's attractions. It has been completely remodeled and is cozy and comfortable.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The view of the mountains was incredible. We met the few neighbors on the Cul-de-sac and they were all very friendly and had nothing but kind things to say about the area and each other. The bonus of only a few stairs to the entrance and the private parking in front made it more convenient than most other locations on the mountain. Originally this was going to be a vacation 2nd home and after the remodel, we decided to make it our residence.
