This lovely 750 sq ft. Guest house is on the property with owners home. It is a tropical paradise with a 40 ft. Heated swimming pool. Bedroom has comfortable queen size bed, walk in closet and is nicely furnished.It also has it's own tv. Pocket door leads to new bathroom with bath/shower. Living room has 2 Bahama couch/beds. Simply take off back pillows and you have 2 comfortable beds with 6 ft mattresses.
Living Room also has large new flat screen tv, all cable channels and wi-fi. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a microwave and coffee pot and connects to a cute eat in kitchenette. There is also a laundry room in back past the bedroom. Fully air conditioned/heated. Also, your own charcoal grill. Lots of comfortable lawn furniture. You can even eat outdoors.There is a table and chairs in front as well as on patio. You will be steps from a gorgeous heated pool that can also be chilled in summer. And walking or biking distance to our lovely beach. Voted best in Palm Beach county.
Delray Beach was recently voted' Fun Town USA' in a Rand Mcnally survey. Our downtown Atlantic Ave. is loaded with great restaurants, cafes, art galleries and shops. We have been living here for about 2 years and just love it. You will too.
We prefer weekly rentals or monthly if possible but 2 days or more are fine. Security deposit, if required will be returned when leaving.

My husband and I needed a place to stay while we waited for our adopted child to be born and for the legal paperwork to go through. Since we knew we would be in town about two weeks we figured it would be much better to find a place that would have more room than a hotel. This cottage was the perfect place for us as it had a kitchen equipped with a stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and toaster oven and a laundry room as well as a living room that would be much more comfortable and private than a hotel to have a newborn. There was a large walk in closet that had some room we could use to hang our clothes and also a few drawers we could use. Ken and Esther own the property and they live right next door. They are almost always on hand in case you need something and in most cases brought things we needed without even being asked. They are very friendly and were so kind to accommodate us with little notice that we were coming. The cottage comfortably sleeps 2 but could fit four if needed. The owners have a really nice pool in the back of their house that they share with whoever is renting the cottage from them. I only wish we could have enjoyed the pool more but with a newborn, we were mostly inside taking care of him and catching up on our rest. It is located in a very convenient area minutes away from shopping and the beach by car. It is adequately stocked with enough silverware and dishes for up to four people and there are a few skillets and a pan for cooking. Of note, there is no microwave but the oven and toaster oven works great. For our purposes, it was the perfect place to stay while we waiting to go home. If you are looking for a comfy place to stay with super friendly neighbors this is the place for you!Owner response: We felt blessed to have such a wonderful situation with the Evans family. We almost felt like expectant grand parents waiting for the baby to come home from the hospital. It was exciting to be host to such a lovely couple at such a special time. We hope they will visit again some time with their babies and all of them can enjoy the pool

When my wife and I decided it was time to flee the harsh NYC winter for some Florida warmth we searched the internet for possible rentals. We settled on this 1 br cottage in Delray. Initially we took it for 4 weeks. Our first impression was positive. A large bedroom (with a very comfortable queen bed), a cosy kitchen, a living room with a flatcreen tv, wifi and use of a beautiful, heated pool. The location seemed great, walking access to the beach (under a mile), shopping and downtown DelRay (which is going through a renaissance of sorts, and is now a very hot spot in southern Florida). What really spoke to us was the comfortable style of decorating the cottage embodied. Since actions speak so much louder than words, we'll cut to the chase. We extended our stay by almost a month. We felt so lucky that we were able to make the dates work with our hosts. Our hosts, Ken & Esther, were so accommodating and friendly that we feel like we have made friends for life. It seemed like we had found long lost friends. On our first day Ken had us hop in his car and and gave us the grand tour-- showing us where all the essentials were, as well as some of the area's hidden treasures that most tourists are highly unlikely to find. Great tips on restaurants. Anything a foodie could desire for cooking was made available if it wasn't already in our kitchen. We had use of a grill to bbq. The pool was fabulous. Salt water rather than chlorine, large enough for doing laps and heated beyond our expectations. It felt brand new. My wife and I have been using Airbnb, Home Away and Vrbo for several years now, but this was one of those remarkable finds. The only complaint we could offer was that we were unable to stay even longer. We fully expect to be there again next year. We couldn't endorse this more strongly.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

It was so good that they extended their stay because we got depressed every time they were set to leave. When they finally did, it just wasn't the same without them. The owners are very personable. When I arrived the cottage was very clean. Everything in the unit worked & it was comfortable. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. It's within walking distance of the beach, grocery shopping & downtown Delray. The pool was heated & very clean. I would stay at this cottage again, on a return visit to Delray Beach.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Esther and Ken Schulman are retired New Yorkers. We have been coming to Delray for 30 years to visit family and watched the Village by the Sea grow to Fun Town USA. Esther is a jeweler and artist. Ken is a retired ad man. They both ran many successful antique stores in NYC like Stardust Antiques in Grammercy Park. We love to swim, cook & eat, entertain, bike, go to the beach. And our new interest pottery.

Location, location and a big beautiful heated swimming pool. The main house and guest house share 1/3 acre of old Florida lush beauty.
