The property is charming with all of the amenities. The Tree topper was aptly named! When we looked out the huge windows surrounding the home, we saw beautiful trees swaying to the gentle breezes. Everything we needed was there. Kerry was the perfect host communicating before the trip. Remember that because it is in the tree tops, there are steps to negotiate to get to the gate. We had a wonderful relaxing time. We enjoyed lunch at the clubhouse. The Reuben was delicious. A dinner at the Appalachia gave us huge portions, but we finished it all because it was so good. The shrimp and grits were a reason to return. We actually saw a wild turkey on the winding roads. We visited nearby Jasper to see the marble homes and buildings. A very pleasant stay.

I took my family of five to this Big Canoe Chalet for a five-day, four-night adventure and it was incredible. Three small kids and three adults in this two-bedroom mountainside haven! There was plenty for everyone's desire: boating, beach, pool, a waterslide. So much to do, we never made it to the golf course or hiking trails. A great excuse for going back. The facilities were well kept and well equip for my family. Dishes, washer/dryer, grill...and the view! It's everything you would expect spending time atop a mountain. We spent many hours simply sitting on the deck soaking in the atmosphere. And get this: no sirens or loud music from passing cars. And the owners keep the place immaculate. I wouldn't hesitate to rent again!
Owner response:Thanks Eddie- Glad you guys had a great time! Tell Nad hey for me. Take care, Kerry

Our family stayed for a long weekend getaway from Atlanta. We have 3 kids that worked perfectly in the guest room with bunk beds and queen bed. The staircase is not ity bity kid friendly but school age is perfect. The decor is nice and the view is so peaceful. We loved all the activities at Big Canoe - hiking, different pools, rock slide, paddle boats, canoes and tennis. My husband took the older ones to the driving range and the course looked in excellent shape but did not have time to play. The kitchen was well equiped to cook. Great trip!
Owner response:Thanks so much for the review- glad everything went well! Hope you'll visit again! Kerry

This little cabin was so cozy and peaceful. It was a great way to escape from the hustle and bustle of my husband's and my hectic work life. The hiking is great, the fishing is fun, and the overall atmosphere is very refreshing.

Our family of five enjoyed a wonderful weekend at your lovely mountain home. We have stayed in other TreeToppers in the past and yours is by far the best! Your home is beautiful, well stocked, comfortable and cozy. We especially loved that it's located near all the amenities. We will definitely come back again and are happy to recommend your place to others.

A perfect getaway this winter as we celebrated our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was and always is relaxing and a great way to escape the stress without having to go too far off. The local restaurants and activities were great for the weekend. The cabin was cozy and excellent for a night of grilling out and just enjoying the peaceful night sounds. We love the cabin for all times of the year and always look forward to our visits!

This past weekend, I went with four friends and had an excellent time at the cabin!! It was gorgeous weather, the company was excellent and the cabin was awesome. It was just the right size for us to hang out, chat, cook and enjoy ourselves. We went for a nature walk and explored the trails. We took a short ride to a local farm and bought fresh veggies to cook for dinner. The clubhouse Sunday buffet was yummy. I hope we do it again soon! Some great memories were made!!! Big Canoe is just gorgeous and I would defnitely recommend the cabin for a great getaway.

I find it very difficult to unwind in my weekly day to day work life and I want to thank you for offering your lovely mountain home for rental. The minute I made the short drive from the city and arrived at your adorable maison, I never wanted to leave. It was warm, cozy and had all the necessities I needed for the weekend and the amenities are exceptional. There were six of us and we all have different interests. We ate at the restaurants in the evening and your kitchen was perfect for cooking up a grand breakfast, which was the highlight of our stay. We all bonded over breakfast and enjoyed the amazing view off your patio. Thank you and I hope I get a chance to come back soon.

This was perfect! We had plenty of room and a beautiful although small view of the lake. The chalet is well stocked with everything we needed including laundry detergent and softener. We were having a family reunion and fixing meals for about 30 and never lacked for a pan or container that was necessary.

The location was very nice and the place was well kept however it was not quite the warm and cozy we were looking for. It is an older chalet and some of the linens were soiled due to age (I believe). We did see some bugs which could be attributed to wooded mountain area however it made an all ladies group feel less comfortable. The electronics did not function properly. There was little volume for stereo and TV with several remotes however none controlled it. We enjoyed our stay but were a little disappointed. I'm sure someone else may have felt this way however this website requires you to provide alot of info in order to review which removes any anonymity. Therefore not the most conducive way to get honest opinions.

We purchased this lovely & unique mountain getaway to escape the hectic city life and enjoy the beauty of Big Canoe. Privacy yet all the amenities within a mile. Our first stay was incredible as are all of our visits. Unfortunately we have jobs, school for the kids, soccer, choir, church functions, music lessons, tennis, track, wrestling, PTA, etc. etc. Fortunately, for our guests to be, this offers open calender time. Take advantage of our busy schedule and make your reservation. We're sure you'll love our secret hiding place!!
