Windward Village is in a gated community located in a tranquil setting of tall pines, rustic oaks and tropical palms in Shipyard Plantation. The villa is situated on a quiet cul de sac which makes a peaceful and relaxing environment. Windward Village is close to the Pope Avenue entrance and is a short bike ride or walk (approx 1 mile) to Coligny Beach and Plaza. The unit also has access to the Shipyard Beach Club (approx 2 miles) which has beach access and free beach parking. Shipyard Plantation has a 27 hole golf course and provides trails for bikers and joggers. The plantation is also the home of the Van Der Meer Racquet Club.
Relax after a long day of golfing or playing on the beach in the casual great room, which has a vaulted ceiling, and features free Wi-Fi, 40' flat screen HDTV with Blu-Ray/DVD. The great room also has a dining area that offers seating for six. A screened porch off the living room overlooks the fourth hole of the Brigantine Golf Course and is the perfect setting for your morning coffee. The updated kitchen is well-equipped with all of the appliances and utensils you need for your stay; including microwave, coffee maker and blender. The master bedroom has a brand new king size bed and a sliding glass door that leads to a lower deck. The guest bedroom has two twin beds. Both bedrooms have their own private recently renovated bathrooms.
Amenities at Windward Village include a swimming pool, a hottub and a small playground for the kids.

This condo is perfect for anyone who wants to get away and enjoy the wonderful beaches of Hilton Head Island. For famlies, the beach is easily accessible for children and teens without the help of parental guidance since the beach is an easy walk or 5 minute bike ride without any busy roads to cross. For couples, the golf course is within walking distance and 10 minutes from the downtown area. The resturants near this area vary from the fast food to the enjoyable sit down dinners, there is never an issue with finding someplace to eat for anyone in the family. The property itself was maintained to the highest standards that anyone could hope for. The kitchen included every necessity for home cooking, and then some (such as a mixer, these people thought of everything!). The two bedrooms were both equiped with bathrooms and the sofa in the living room could also function as a pull out bed. We never had any issues with lack of space while staying at this condo. With easy access to the downtown shopping/ eating area, the beach, and golf courses; I would highly reccomend this condo to anyone looking to have a vacation in Hilton Head Island.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Clean, well-maintained property in a great location! Easy bike (or car, if you must) ride to the beach. Ship yard Plantation has Atlantic Ocean beach access, nice golf facilities, ponds for fishing and wildlife viewing (you'll probably see gators!), and an excellent bike path system. I'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation in Hilton Head last summer. The town home was in immaculate condition and had plenty of room for the five of us. It was also conveniently located near the swimming pool and hot tub. We enjoyed the short bike ride to the beach as well as to local restaurants. We loved being able to easily get to the beach, yet we also appreciated the peace and quiet of this property on the Shipyard Plantation. I highly recommend this property and you will find that it is a great value.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Spent a week at this unit in August with a few golf buddies. Loved the quiet location and the ease of getting around the island. Coligny Plaza/beach is only a short bike ride away. The unit was really clean and the owners were easy to work with. We look forward to staying at Windward Village again next summer.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Thank you for your interest in our vacation villa at Hilton Head, SC. We are Larry and Kathy from Colorado and first visited Hilton Head 27 years ago on our honeymoon. Over the years, we have since vacationed in the South Carolina area with our two daughters. We love that we can enjoy the mountains in Colorado and now the beaches in Hilton Head.
Why the Owner Chose Windward Village:
We chose Hilton Head Island because of the relaxed atmosphere, great beaches and golf courses. We looked at many properties on Hilton Head but loved this unit because the spacious layout and great location within a private community. We liked that it is situated on the golf course and is within walking or biking distance of the Coligny Plaza and Beach.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
The villa is at the end of cul-de-sac so there is no traffic and is very quiet and peaceful. Although the unit feels secluded, it is close to the Shipyard Pope St entrance which has access to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and the beach. The pool and hottub are in a private setting.
