We just spent a week.. Every day of our vacation was perfect. Your home is perfect - so clean and well cared for. The home was very well stocked with everything we needed for the week. The people in the area are some of the friendliest people we have ever met! The surroundings are great - you can lay by the lake all day, go fishing, kayayking, hiking or go sightseeing and return to the lake in the evening and enjoy the view. It was nice to be so close to so many attractions. Sleepy Bear Dunes was a great trip - with lunch at Arts Tavern in Glen Harbor and then shopping. Thank you again - we will be returning soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a blast at Mary's lake house just outside of Traverse City. The house is much larger than it looks since there is a basement walk out to the lake. The house is very clean, the kitchen up to date which makes it easy to plan meals. The lake is awesome. The lake bottom is sandy, so it is fun to play in and perfect for water skiing, or any type of boat. There is a dock for your boats. At nights we would sit by the fire pit and enjoy to beautiful starry skys, and during the day we enjoyed laking out on the patio while the kids played in the lake a few yards away. It is close to Traverse City, so there is plenty to do. We love going just around the lake to Boone's Long Lake Inn for dinner, great food and huge deck in back with local entertainment. I highly recommend staying at this home. We will be coming back every year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Rates
$2500 per week from June to September with the exception of 4th of July/Cherry Festival Weeks. June 29- July 6th and July 6th- July 13th $3000 per week. Rents by the week only during summer months. $600 minimum per weekend in spring, winter and fall. 50% of rental rate due to reserve dates. Remainder of rental due 30 days prior to Arrival.

About the owner: I am a life-long Michigan resident who was fortunate enough to live in this area for several years. Not only is it beautiful with views at every turn, it's a great place to raise kids. Very safe and friendly.
Why the Owner Chose Long Lake:
I lived and worked in Traverse City for several years and found this location to be the best in the area. Close to the city, great lake that allows for many sports, close to skiing at Crystal Mountain and a great place to raise kids.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This home looks like a cottage but has all the amenities of a full time home. You can't beat the view from the living room. Loons swim in front of house all summer and if you look up, you frequently see Bald Eagles soaring. Kayaking and waterskiing are favorite activities.
