Halloween in Maui
Halloween in Maui
Our stY at your wonderful home was great. It was fully stocked with all we needed. We are a family of 3 with a 2 1/2 yo little girl. She had a blast. There was even some beach toys, boggie board, and hrs of fun to be had with the kids snorkel and mask. We love KS for the big pool and the little pool, 2 hot tubs, lovely grounds, super clean BBQ, and the family atmosphere. My daughter loves running around with the kids while we r BBQ. And the excellent beach across the street with a swing set! ;) the kitchen was fully equipment with wonderful items that looked and worked like brand new. We loved the ac in the bedroom which also has a fan. Super clean unit with extra soap all around. Thanks sharing your home with us making this a great vacation. Oh and we love that it's a ground floor. Mahalo

Owner response: So happy to hear your family enjoyed Maui and found our unit to be well stocked with extra amenities to make your stay special and comfortable. Kamaole Sands is one of the special places that attracts families, couples, singles and family groups renting multiple units. No matter who joins us on our trips, we have always found Kamaole Sands the perfect location! Much Mahalo for your booking!
My husband and I had an excellent stay in this condo. It was fully equipped, very clean and in an excellent location. Being on the first floor meant we didn't have to climb stairs or use the elevator the many times a day we were in and out of the condo. It was tastefully decorated with Hawaiian art, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed using the Hana Road CD that was in the condo, and appreciated that it was a 3 minute walk to the beach to watch sunsets, have a swim, snorkel or relax on the beach or go for our morning walk.

Owner response: The ground floor unit and quick, easy three minute walk to the beach and pool are what sold this unit to us, as well. For years we had rented upper flooor units and we were surprised that we hadn't seen the value of bypassing the elevator and stairs! We are happy you enjoyed our unit and your stay on Maui. Much Mahalo!
The condo was great! There were several family members staying at Kamole Sands and this unit had the best air conditioner! Loved the location in Kamole Sands. Building 7 rocks!

Rekindled Hawaiian Romance
Rekindled Hawaiian Romance
Over the years, I had forsaken a Hawaiian vacation for something that could get me away from it all. The crowded resorts, high cost, touristic and commercialized Hawaii left me disappointed with a sense of nothing special. Six days at Keren's and Gary's little piece of Paradise at Kamaole Sands in Kihei changed that for me. I think I fell in love a little. The location is truly an easy escape for a get-away, especially from the SF Bay Area. Direct flights and less than 30 minutes after landing, there you are - waking up to a warm Hawaiian breeze while the coo of the birds keeps time with ebb and flow of the waves, just steps away. Walk out of the property heading North and the local little beach town of Kihei offers all you need (services, food, drink, local fresh mangos & pineapples) -- all along the great local beach parks of Kam I, II, II (perfect for viewing the sunset). To the south, a walk or run along the beaches toward Wailea - there was not a better way to greet the morning each day. The most difficult part of the trip -- a decision on which beach should I enjoy for the day? From Makena (all the way south on the road) to the beaches along Wailea and Kihei, each offers a different and beautiful character. Water is generally calm and safe earlier in the morning for a refreshing swim, by yourself or with the turtles; or maybe to give paddle boarding a try. Kihei Harbor, 1 min away, is perfect for heading out on a snorkle trip. The condo offers a relaxed and lovely at-home-in-paradise sense of comfort, style and convenience. As expected and more. Nicely appointed, convenience of home, convenient to grill and dine on the lanai or have a relaxing soak in the hot tub or dip in the pool. Having access to Keren's & Gary's On-Island Person, Kristy, had the fridge stocked with champagne, chocolates and farm fresh tropical fruit for a perfect arrival celebration! Take advantage. Favorite Eateries: 808 Bistro (BYOB from Wine Attic in Rainbow Mall); Cafe O'lei; Monkey Pod. Good farm to table and fresh, healthy eats! And don't forget to indulge at the Grand Wailea Spa! Heavenly. Would I return? In a loooong and leisurely relaxed Hawaiian minute!

Owner response: So glad you found the magic of south Maui and found our home away from home comfortable and nicely appointed. Kristy, our on island contact, is truly is a gem that ensures our guests arrive to a clean and well cared for home. I also love that she provides services (for a small fee) to stock the refrigerator and cupboards to ensure guests arrive with food at the ready! No vacationer wants to hit Foodland or Safeway when south Maui awaits! Much Mahalo, Lisa, for staying with us and we hope you'll be back soon!
This review is long overdue-we had a wonderful four nights at this unit last April. It was impeccably clean, beautifully furnished and included almost everything we need to enjoy our stay. Its location near Kam Sands worked very well for us and awarded us with many beautiful sunsets. My only wish is that we would have had more time to enjoy the amenities of the unit. Ideally we would like to stay longer next time to take advantage of the communal BBQs and the unit's kitchen. Keren and Gary were always quick to respond to any of our needs which was greatly appreciated. Many thanks for a wonderful experience and we hope to return soon!

Paradise Setting in Paradise
Paradise Setting in Paradise
We loved our cozy, peaceful, and tropical home away from home. The photos accurately show the immaculate appearance and how well it is maintained. It is located in a perfect location with a beach just across the street and many other beaches a short drive away. We loved the park-like view of the inner court yard and drinking our morning coffee on the lanai planning the day's activities. Since this was our first stay, we did all of the typical tourist activities. We went to the orientation given by the Aloha Concierge the morning after our arrival and booked several activities. The snorkel trip to Molokini and Turtle Town on the Quicksilver was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the luau on the beautiful grounds of the Grand Wailea and the prime rib and Mahi Mahi was delicious on the sunset dinner cruise on the Maui Princess located in Lahaina. We visited many beautiful beaches, watched gorgeous sunsets, and tried snorkeling on our own seeing a variety of pretty fish and turtles (one of which was only a couple feet away). We took the road to Hana and went clear around traveling on the unpaved section not recommended.....shhhhh, don't tell the car rental agency. The complex has a small car wash area to remove the dusty dirt that accumulated on the car. We stopped to watch the surfers and wind surfers at Hookipa and ate lunch at the Paia Fish Market which is highly recommended. The complex has many BBQ grills but we chose to eat our dinners out to taste the local food. Da' Kitchen, Cafe O'Lei, 808 Deli, Amigos in Khei and the Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina. We enjoyed the unlimited Mai Tai's on Wednesday afternoons at the pool being entertained by the hula dancers and sitting in the spa in the evening meeting and talking to friendly people. What a perfect setting to build many wonderful vacation memories. We hope we can go back soon!

Beach Condo Oasis! A Lucky Find!
Beach Condo Oasis! A Lucky Find!
What a find! The description and pics were totally accurate. Condo was clean, equipped with everything we needed for beachtime fun and relaxation, and we felt 100% safe and welcome there. Beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, beach umbrella and sand toys were perfect! Bathrooms were shiny clean (no problem letting our little guy take a bath) and appliances newer and the updated kitchen and carpet were nice too. The owners were super helpful and friendly. They answered any silly questions we had via phone and email. They also offered up many tips and suggestions to help make our stay in Maui as inexpensive and easy as possible for our little family (2 adults and 17month old) Being able to open the sliding door to the ground floor and walk out to the beautiful, well maintained grounds, pool area (very nice) or VERY short walk to excellent beach was more than we asked for! The shared BBQ areas worked great. We made yummy blended drinks most nites (the ice machine in freezer worked fast!) The quiet times at the condos were respected and were very quiet at nite. There was absolutely no noise from the main street a short walk away ( just have to cross street to be at nice, lifeguarded beach) Wailea Beach was about 5-10min drive time south of us. It took us about 20 min to get to Aquarium, our son loved it. From the shore we saw whales breaching and we saw many pretty fish and even turtles snorkeling at Kamaole Beach III and Turtle Town (Makena Beach). A few restaurants and shops within walking distance, but we chose to drive to Foodland for groceries (about 2 miles) You will not be disappointed by renting this condo! We just hope that it doesn't book up before we can plan our trip for next year. Thank you for a great stay!!!

Year Purchased: 2013
About the owner: Keren and Gary have been visiting Kamaole Sands for 20+ years; each time renting from a different owner. During our frequent vacations our family of five (plus Grandma) explored the resort, beaches of South Maui, beach town of Kihei and all that Maui offers. These times were well spent making happy memories. With our boys now grown we decided it was time to fulfill a long time dream to own a part of Kamaole Sands. We invite you to share in the magic of Maui.
Why the Owner Chose Kamaole Sands:
Our family fell in love with South Maui for it beaches, sunny disposition, the relaxed beach town of Kihei and its upscale neighbor Wailea. It never crossed or minds to stay anywhere else other than Kamaole Sands because we felt comfortable and relaxed in the resort's large, well-cared for grounds and its central location to everything we enjoy in South Maui.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Having rented throughout Kamaole Sands we were excited when it came time to purchase that we could obtain a ground floor unit in Building 7. We appreciate being able to bypass the elevators and having a view and easy access to the inner court. Another benefit to Building 7 is a solar orientation making cool and comfortable condo.
