  My husband and I decided to bring our 4 children to Hawaii, We book this condo at the last minute. Steve was a delight to work with. You can tell this is Steve and his wifes second home. They have taken very good care of this charming condo. The pictures do not do this place justice. Its much bigger than it looks. The beds are wonderful! The couches are so comfortable! There is a tv however we have not had time to watch it yet with all the fun! There is a costco about 22 miles away if you want to save money on food. The kitchen is a fun hang out as well with the bar stools at the counter for eating and figuring out the next days adventure! The little kids are entertained for hours by catching cute litlle geckos out side. There is also two nice pools. one for adults and one for kids. The sliding glass doors looking out the living room are huge! the are the length of the whole living room ! and they open up with and you can have the screen doors as a wonderful breeze and to hear all the amazing birds talk to each other. The loft area where our children are sleeping is wonderful, there is a full size bed, and a twin that turns into a trundle, however moves right out so you can move it on wheels to a different spot so every one has their own area, and it also has a bathroom and a nice shower up there. We are so glad we came to the North Shore side to get out of the rat race! Its so peaceful here and its gated so you dont have to worry about your kids. The veiw of the golf course is nice. The trees are amazing! All the best beaches in the world are with in 10 min away and your about 8 min walking distance from this condo. Every thing is bright clean and comfortable! This unit does have AC however its really nice becauce they have ceiling fans every were. I hope the every one else has as much fun as we are!   We love Turtle Bay. We have rented condos in the past and expected this one to be on par with the others. This unit is located close to the streets so traffic noise was more than we expected. Unit was clean and had all the necessities but not equipped for our 10 day stay (short on TP, soap, etc.). Unit could needs to be updated and basics working like closet doors that will not close. It is hard to have a bad day while vacationing in Hawaii so overall our experience was OK.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  Owner response: I provide a comfortable, clean condo for your stay at Turtle Bay - Paradise. We provide TP, liquid soap for starters. The guests typically get their own TP and soaps at market when there or bring their desired soaps. We provide this to get guests started and we are not expected nor do we advertise to have 10 days of TP available. Lastly, we do maintain an upgraded condo with new ceiling fans in each room with remote control and new AC in living room. We provide wi-fi modem, cable TV and nice leather sofa, hard wood furniture. Our kitchen is fairly modern with Jennair stove/oven and new microwave overhead installed only a year ago. So I dont agree with this assessment but will take it as a point to review closet doors which most guests dont worry about. They are plantation style shutter doors but will check them for maintenance. Aloha & enjoy!

  My family lives in Kahuku's plantation homes. I know first hand how living there is like. It's not an easy lifestyle and the things we take for granted in the mainland is a cherished treasure there; something as easy as plumbing or bedding. With that said, Steve's condo was a retreat from that lifestyle and offers a decent and comfortable stay while on vacation. The place was furnished with all the amenities one needs such as a full kitchen, three beds, a tv, an A/C unit even though we didn't use it. The air that comes through the lanai circulates the condo and provides a very cool breeze inside the condo. There are also two full baths to my surprise. I thought there was only one so this was a treat for a family of four. Transaction with Steve was easy and stress free, but a little delayed at times (1-3 days response time via email. Phone call was immediate which balances that out). The only thing I would suggest is to have a working vacuum cleaner so that the occupants can also keep the place clean while there. There was a note stating that we had to wash and dry the linens and towels before we leave. That was difficult for us since we had an early flight and had to use the towels to bathe in the morning. I suggest your cleaning people take care of that to eliminate the stress for the occupants, especially those that had to catch an early flight out. Aside from that, I would suggest staying at Steve's condo while on vacation. If you're not too picky and require modern amenities, this is the place you want to stay in. It's decent and cozy enough to make your vacation enjoyable. Mahalo Steve for letting us stay in your condo.

  My family and I stayed at Steve's condo in early September 2011. In response to the listing description, although everything listed is actually present in the condo itself, I wouldn't actually classify anything as "new" or "updated." This place and everything in it, is old and in dire need of updating. If your priority is affordability and you do not plan on spending any time in the condo except for sleeping, this would be the perfect place (think Motel 6, or 1 or 2 star). If you are looking for somewhere clean and comfortable (3 or 4 star), you should probably skip this one. On the plus side, location of the condo was great. Turtle Bay resort is very close by, as well as many smaller beaches. Grocery store 6 miles each way. Polynesian Cultural Center close by. Condo was well equipped with all the necessary kitchen utensils. Transaction and dealings with Steve were easy and smooth. Although we won't be staying again, thank you so much for our stay!

My condo has nice view of golf course, N Shore mountains, walking close to Turtle Bay and has comfortable luxury leather sofa's, queen pillow top matress in master bedroom, upstairs two firm beds, 2009 carpet cleaned twice a year and condo cleaned after every visit. New screens, new dvd player, new overhead microwave installed this year. My condo is a premium updaded condo, light & bright with newer shower bath upstairs. 2011 vertical blinds in living room and master bedroom. Purchased new AC and refrig in 2010 and maintained each year. Enjoy this great location at West Kuilima Estates includes a stackable washer dryer, teak furniture, hi speed computer cable ready and ocean art of Wyland. Fully Furnished condo with all kitchen items offered at an affordable price for your vacation.

  Condo was OK. The surrounding area is great since it is close to the Turtle Bay Resort and the beach. Unit needs some updating and thorough cleaning.

  Spent one week at Steve's condo and we had a great time. There's lots to do in the area. The condo was clean and well equipped (except the need for a glass carafe for the coffee maker). The owner was very helpful and provided accurate information. This is truly a nice place.
