Oregon Coast Retreat!

One block from the beach and one block from the center of town, this cozy Oregon coast retreat is located in the quaint and friendly seaside town of Manzanita, Oregon. This is your chance to get away from it all and let the seven miles of white, soft sand beaches and Pacific sea breeze clear your head from all the hustle and bustle of your daily life. In addition to the seemingly endless crescent beach, Manzanita is also nestled between two State Parks; Oswald State Park, with its majestic Neahkahnie Mountain to the north, and Nehalem Bay State Park, with its beautiful Nehalem River Valley to the south.

Manzanita has all you need in one walkable main street where you will find the grocery store, natural foods store, coffee shops, excellent restaurants, wine-bar, shops, and evening entertainment. And as we have discovered in our many stays there, the area is also somewhat sheltered by Neahkahnie Mountain, making it sunnier than other coastal areas. On many occasions, we have left a beautiful sunny day in Manzanita, to drive north towards Seattle, only to find it "socked in" from Arch Cape and Cannon Beach all the way to Seaside!

You enter our newly renovated, two-story with basement house through a beautiful garden of trees, rhododendrons, bamboo, and driftwood up natural stone steps. The home is attractively decorated with splashes of nautical accents to compliment the natural pristine beauty of the surrounding coastal area. It is also fully equipped with all the amenities (just in case you want them!) including HDTV with pay-per-view, DVD/CD player, and a PC with high-speed wireless Internet access.

The extra large deck, for entertaining or lounging, is screened off for privacy by bamboo. It houses ample outdoor seating, a hot tub, and a gas grill (check out the local fresh seafood market). While unwinding in the six-person hot tub you can relax to sounds of the ocean, only one block away.

The ground floor consists of a cozy and very comfortable living room with a fireplace and natural driftwood mantel, a bright and cheery, fully-equipped kitchen with a center breakfast counter, dining room, master bedroom (with a queen-sized bed and access to the deck), and master bathroom.

The upstairs has two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large and roomy landing area with a comfortable queen-sized sofa bed and desk with a PC with high-speed wireless Internet access (also a perfect area to sit and read and enjoy the view of Neahkahnie Mountain). One of the bedrooms upstairs has a queen-sized bed and a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. The other bedroom has two full-sized beds.

Whether you want to take advantage of all the outdoor activities available in the area (including hiking in nearby state parks, horseback riding, bicycling on the beach, surfing, or golfing) or if you just want to relax and take walks and explore the beach - THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE! This house could not be more convenient - a short walk from the ocean and to the main street in Manzanita.

Come soothe your soul in this special gem on the Oregon coast and enjoy the "sea of tranquility." We have absolutely fallen in love with this place and know you will too!

NOTE: Maximum of eight people. Pets NOT allowed. Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the house.

Holidays at Spring/Summer Rates. Minimum Two-Night Stay (longer for holidays
& summer). 35% Deposit required to confirm reservation. Balance due 45 days prior
to arrival. Additional 7% City Tax and 1% State Tax on rental portion.
Check In 4:00 PM & Check Out Noon. $80 Cleaning Fee. $25 Hot Tub Fee.
Other than July, August and Holidays we may have some flexibility in price for
