Puerto Morelos villa description
Palazzo Paradiso is situated on 1/3 acre, with lush gardens, and was designed for comfort, luxury, privacy and security.
Palazzo Paradiso has 5 bedrooms, (4 brand new king size beds, and 2 queen) each with its own private bathroom. There is a sitting area on the second floor with comfortable seating, also can be a sleep area for children. All bedrooms are very pretty. Four bedrooms have balconies. Three of the bedrooms face the ocean and two face the jungle at the rear of the property. The rooftop terrace has two built in sunbathing beds (or somewhere to sleep out at night) facing the sea. To the west, facing the jungle you'll find a queen size sun lounger in our sun-trap area. Great place to get away and relax. At night, sleep under the stars and listen to the waves.
Palazzo Paradiso is decorated nicely, and is well equipped, so you shouldn't need to bring very much with you. We have 3 bikes, board games, 3 kayaks, lifejackets, walkie talkies, pool equipment, boogie boards, snorkelling gear, Ipod players, Shaw satellite TV, Flat screen TVs, DVD players/ DVDs, and books.
The kitchen is well equipped, with all necessary appliances, including an icemaker, wine fridge, and beer fridge. We also have new silverware and dinner service.
You can keep in touch with broadband internet access (with wi-fi that works up to the first bedroom level). The 60 inch Samsung LED TV is Internet and Skype enabled. We will also leave a couple of cellphones for your use in Mexico. In addition, we have a VOIP phone that allows free calling to the US and Canada.
Each room has mini-split air-conditioning, but it is mostly not needed, because there's nearly always gentle breezes blowing.
We have a solar heated private pool, sun-loungers, sand area for young children to play, palapas, and two hammocks. Take a few steps down to a quiet beach.
If you wish, we can organize someone to shop, and cook for you, allowing you to spend more time on the beach. We can even organize tours, fishing trips, snorkeling or scuba diving. Our objective is for you to have a safe, comfortable and relaxing time.
There are tons of things to do in the area. The fishing village of Puerto Morelos is a delight, with lots of inexpensive restaurants and entertainment. We are located about half way between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, very convenient for activities, including:
Snorkelling and fishing the protected reef in PM
The Little Mexican Cooking School in PM
Crocacoon Zoo in PM
Waterpark in Cancun
Xplore, Xcaret, Selvetica and XpuHa adventure parks
A trip to Isla Mujeres is a 'must do' ride the island on a golf cart

Three weeks in Paradiso!
Three weeks in Paradiso!
Our family spent three weeks at Palazzo Paradiso in late November and the first two weeks of December. At one time there were ten family members, three generations ranging in age from 4 to 70 and the house easily accomodated all! At no time were we not pleased, excited and satisfied with, not only the accomodations but, the setting and location. Five bedrooms each with it's own full bathroom, full sized pool and all of this right on the beach! It is impossible to list all of the fun we had and the joy we had in exploring Puerto Morales and the Riviera Maya. At the house we enjoyed the pool multiple times daily - our grandchildren became accustomed to swimming in the morning, afternoon and evening. And, a rarity for this area - the pool was heated! We used the kayaks to the great joy of all. Playing in the sand at the beach was also a daily pleasure for the children, as was swinging in the hammocks when there was no one else in the family using them. The top floor has three huge sun beds and if you can find the time to get there - they are an amazing way to laze away a few hours while looking out at either the Carribean or the jungle. The kitchen was a joy and clearly outfitted to suit a large family that would cook. If the house and it's location were not enough we also enjoyed touring Tulum, Playa Del Carmen and ziplining, swimming in cenotes, getting massages in the jungle and snorkeling and diving the wonderful reef. The restaurants in Puerto Morales are all small, reasonable and quite good - we never had a bad meal or poor service. Palazzo Paradison is a special place and we hope to return every year. Lisa the house Manager was a special joy - she was always available for any advice or need. Her knowledge of the house and the area is a huge asset and eased our way into a new, foreign environment. Diego and Marcella, who maintain the house, and live in the casita in the "backyard" were always there and always willing to take care of our needs. Advice: you can only get to the house in a rental car. Any other alternative is impractical. So, rent a car at the airport for your entire stay. Also, the roads to the house were in disrepair during our visit, so be prepared for some minor, rough driving. It almost made arriving at the house that much more exciting. We can't wait to return.

A little slice of heaven!
A little slice of heaven!
My husband and I stayed here for a romantic getaway. We wanted somewhere that was relaxing and quiet, but close enough to restaurants, bars and local shopping. This place was it! We spent our days lounging by the private pool or on the beach that was just steps from the patio. The pool was heated which was nice. I can't stand cold pools! If you want to do more then just chill out in the sun, there are also lots of exciting day trips that you can go on. We liked the low key outings to the lovely coffee shops and creperies in the area. The food in the restaurants is delicious! We went to a new one almost everyday and loved them all. You can also get someone to come in to cook for you too... again delicious They have a big flat screen satellite TV (English and Spanish), walkie talkies, and a cell phone available. The weather was fantastic! Lots of sun and clear skies. We sipped wine and watched the sun set from the double lounger on the roof top patio! Can a vacation be any more perfect and romantic?! I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night with the cool breeze coming through the bedroom's balcony door. This was the best vacation I have ever been on. Forget resorts, this is the way to go!

Most Awesome Vacay!
Most Awesome Vacay!
I stayed at this beautiful property with my husband and infant. The owners graciously loaned us a pack and play for the duration of our trip where our daughter slept. What a beautiful property! Waking up with a freshly squeezed orange juice with the sun shining in to the kitchen was just heaven. I went swimming everyday with my daughter and with only steps away from the ocean, it was just paradise. We also took a drive to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun to see 5th avenue and the Cancun hotel district. It was great being situated in between these two cities. You can catch a bus to Playa Del Carmen for only $3 from Puerto Morelos which is very convenient. Our family just loved the beautiful village of Puerto Morelos. You really get a feel for the Mexican culture and there are plenty of fantastic places to eat including Los Gaucho's and Spagettino's. There are also restaurants right on the beach if you want to have a romantic dinner and watch the sunset. All in all, we had a fab trip and would definitely return in a heartbeat. Thanks to the owner's John and Carole for helping us with supplies for our infant and speedily answering any questions we had.

Perfect place to relax; Base for visiting Mayan Riviera
Perfect place to relax; Base for visiting Mayan Riviera
Palazzo Paradiso has it all, starting with wonderful thoughtful owners, extending to a very responsive on-site manager and caretaker, and including big things, like a pool, sea kayaks, rooftop beds and immediate beach access, and little things like the ice-maker hooked up to bottled water and family games for the rare times it rains. There are five generous bedrooms with really comfortable beds, sheets, beach towels as well as bath towels, a fully stocked kitchen, A/C (although with fans and open doors this wasn't really necessary), satellite TV and recommended attractions, restaurants and shops. Access via dirt roads makes one a little nervous the first time you drive, but it quickly became the road "home." One should definitely consider Puerto Morelos if one wants both the sense of the real Mexico as well as access to what's available along the Mayan Riviera. You are 10 minutes from the main road that runs from Cancun to Tulum. We shopped in Cancun and took a cooking class at CoCos in Playa. We had a massage at the Jungle Spa and snorkeled the reef via a boat from Puerto Morelos. It was easy to do all these things and restful to come back to the Palazzo Paradiso. If you have a large group and want to enjoy the area without the glitz of the resorts or big cities, you can do no better than renting this villa.

About the owner: My husband and I were both born in England, but moved to Canada in 1988. We now have 6 grandkids and have (sort of) retired. We love to travel and have been to many places in the world, but still love to spend time down here in Puerto Morelos because it is so relaxing and yet, if we want to reconnect with the world, we can pop into town, or drive into Cancun or Playa Del Carmen and enjoy all the entertainment and shopping.
Why the Owner Chose Puerto Morelos:
We always liked Mexico and think the people here are very friendly. We decided to buy something on the ocean in the Mayan Riviera, because there is so much to do here and because we really enjoy going out and exploring what Mexico has to offer. We'd been looking for about a year when, by chance, we ended up in an all-inclusive hotel in Puerto Morelos. We immediately fell in love with this quaint fishing village. I said ''This is the real Mexico. This is where we need to be'. To wander by the locals fishing, to see the kids playing in the town square, to hear the church bells ring every day, to eat great food in inexpensive restaurants, to sip a cappucino on the sidewalk, to pop into the Canadian owned bookstore and to listen to talented musicians at night after walking the beach in the day. What more could you want?
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
The house is situated in the North end of the town, so it is quiet and relaxing. It's at the end of a fairly private beach road and, because it has a velador living on site, and lots of neighbors we have got to know keeping an eye on things, we all feel very, very safe here. This really is a home away from home. It's not available for rent all the time because we're here as often as we can........kicking back, taking it easy, and enjoying life again. Our Property Manager is a lovely, fun lady from Minnesota, who lives a couple of minutes away and will help you get settled in, organise things for you and will resolve any small problems you may have
