Our group walked in the front door, and we were immediately pleased. The home has such a wonderful vibe. Each room is incredibly comfortable and has something unique to offer. The owner is great. The art is so New Orleans. We will have lasting memories from our experience.

Taking the bad with the good
Taking the bad with the good
The Location was ideal (It is not 3 blocks from the Street Car). The house was HUGE! The price went up $200 a night after we showed interest and then we were in "line" for the place. For the price we paid I would have had expected the house to be cleaned before we arrived. We had to wash every dish, cup, glass & pot before we used them. The oven was so disgusting that we could not use it because of the smell. One toilet broke while we were their and someone came to fix it, but it broke again that night. The pool cleaner was broken and not fixed while we where there. Many other appliances and furniture where broken. We were very excited to be staying in this house. It is beautiful but for that price you would expect more.........like a bar of soap in the bathroom. Now you know to bring soap & comet if you plan on staying here.

Owner response: I am the owner of the property and I feel compelled to respond. The oven was not cleaned. Granted. The street car is 4 blocks, not three. Why this is an issue is beyond me. The pool filter was working fine, and the pool guy cleans and sanitizes every Tuesday. The rover on the bottom had lost a wheel, but was not necessary as the pool was clean and safe. The appliances all work in perfect order. The only unit that is inoperable is an exterior additional ice machine, that every guest is informed of upon arrival. The GE stainless huge freezer makes more than enough ice. The furniture is all fine. One bed has a post that needs to be tightened. All of the rest is new or antique, and nothing is broken. "In line" means that someone had inquired before the guest, and I give the first party 24 hours to deposit before allowing the second party to deposit. We don't use bar soap. There is liquid soap in every bathroom, or under the sink if it is out. Our house cleaner is impecable, so I have no idea what the Comet comment is about. It would be nice if these issues were addressed while inhabiting the house, as they can be rectified asap. As far as the pots and pans, I am utterly confused. They are cleaned after every guest. Perfect Place for Large Group
Perfect Place for Large Group
This place was everything I had hoped it would be. Great location and incredible decor on the inside. The house kept the anquity feel, but everything was very well up-dated. The pool in the back felt like a private santucuary. The kitchen could fit all of your guests at once! Loved it and will stay again when I come back to NOLA. The owner was also quite relaxed and easy to deal with. Thanks!

Recommended for: Families with teenagers.
This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed. Huge open areas, largest kitchen in the city, 8 beds in 6 room rooms upstairs and two more downstairs. A POOL that is heated.I would not spean $250 a night at the Ritz or the Roosevelt or Windsor Court if this place was available. My party all congregated in the kitchen / den / pool french doors area most of the time. Just fantastic, and the owner is very accomodating and easy to work with on check in and out. Worth the price to be with all of my party in a simgle family home.

This is a beautifully decorated, spacious home, and is very warm and welcoming! Within a few blocks of everything! We took the streetcar into the French Quarter and it took less than 10-minutes. The kitchen is amazing as are the bathrooms with clawfoot tubs! Beds are dreamy! The owners know the area well and helped us find great restaurants and a wonderful little breakfast place within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back. Be sure to check out the local art decorating the walls througouth, all for sale!
