The villa is an updated, just-built in 2008 with hardwood pine floors, granite countertops, and modern features. It is located in the Ocean Ridge Wyndham Resort and could be referred to as a little bit of paradise in this peaceful haven God created without the hustle and bustle of busy cities and roadways.
Visit Botany Bay and its preserved beauty...the local serpentarium or Pink's for the freshest tomatoes. Take a ride into the beautiful city of Charleston with all of its historic character and history...or just relax and enjoy the island!

Ocean Ridge is a 300-acre golf/recreation resort located on the southern end of Edisto Beach. Recreation amenities 93 pools, workout room, beach tram-seasonal, tours, Beach Cabana 9restrooms, bowers), bike rentals, water sports, video rentals) are available to all resort guests for an Amenities Fee. Wyndham Ocean Ridge Beach Cabana is located in the 2000 block of Palmetto- look for blue mail box - with parking allowed on Palmetto Blvd. Also every cross street has a beach access point with parking on the street.

Loved our time at Edisto! The condo was perfect for a weekend beach get-away! Very comfy and cozy beach feel to the place. Great view on the back deck of the golf course. The location is just a short distance from the beach. Too cold during the winter to use the pool, but would be great to have access to in the summer/spring! This place had everything we needed and wanted!Owner response: Glad you enjoyed your getaway in our little villa! Return in the summer and enjoy all the amenities!

Enjoyed a relaxing getaway at Edisto visiting the SEA COW Restaurant which was a quaint eatery opened for all meals. Visiting Botany Bay is always a must as it brings about the true beauty of nature. It was a quiet and peaceful time with awesome scenic views which was exactly why I chose Edisto, my favorite non-commercial island. Everything we needed was furnished in the condo and the unique shopping and one-of-a kind Piggly Wiggly was accessible within a few miles. Bikes and chairs were on the property which made it easy for packing less on the getaway. Everything was clean and in great condition. We were on the fence about 2 VBRO properties near the Charleston area. This one with a fireplace/near the ocean/further South as we were headed to Gainesville, FL next OR a smaller/slightly cheaper efficiency in the old section of Charleston that had a hot tub. The phone number listed for this rental is not VBRO, nor the owner but Edisto Realty. I conducted business with Nancy at Edisto Reality who wasn't willing to go to the nth degree to make sure the fireplace worked. I asked her to call the owner, she put me on hold and came back too quickly to have probably made the call. She contended that if an amenity was listed, it worked BUT they had no control nor would give any kind of refund should it not be working. THIS IS WHY I WANTED HER TO CALL THE OWNER! We were arriving in less than 2 weeks, so I had no recourse but to book and hope for the best as this property is new and everything probably works. You guessed it, we arrived after dark on Tuesday night. Tried to get it to start but gave up and went to bed. Wednesday morning, 2 gentlemen arrived to fix the fireplace, having been there 2 weeks prior and couldn't get in! The owner had known it hadn't been working for longer! The men were there for over an hour to no avail. A part had to be ordered. They hoped to arrive the next day, but didn't. So you guessed it, no fireplace for 3 days/3 night. The main reason we chose this property! Edisto Realty refunded $50 only. Attempts to reach this owner (email through ER) have gone unanswered. Nice, clean place. Kitchen pretty well stocked. WiFi works ok/kinda slow. Bed was too soft/uncomfortable. Area in the off season is boring. Food in the few restaurants that are open was terrible. Piggly Wigly was awful/smelly. We should have stayed in Charleston!Owner response: As a new owner and member of VBRO, I requested the assistance of a long-time reputable and professional island company in order to make all required taxes, keys, and immediate feedback to inquiries proper (as recommended by many other vrbo members/property owners). I get every request and try to reply back in a timely manner as well as informing the vacationer that Edisto Realty is assisting me. Unfortunately, my teaching profession does not allow immediate contact throughout the day, but this particular time, there were other family medical circumstances as well. However, I made the necessary contacts and answered questions immediately while inquiring about progress and asked the company to send my apologies. I have taken the gas logs off the list; however, they have now been replaced. It has been an issue with a value and finding the right company. I have been questioning and asking and calling nonstop since taking ownership. Evidently, when the logs are not used for a period of time, the type of values break easily....over and over. I do apologize for your disappointment because I would never be deceitful, malicious, or advertise improperly. For the wi-fi, it's the only company located primarily on the island, but a popular company here in Charleston as well. I haven't heard any other issues, but will let the company know. If you saw anything missing from the supplies, please let me know. I have compared to other units in the lowcountry villas and followed suit. The restaurant reviews I've read have been better; however, everyone has their specialities and comparisons. You are quite right, as a native of Charleston, it definitely offers a variety of other amenities not offered at the island. For the shopping on the island, it definitely is limited and quaint, especially in off-season; however, that's the non-commercial, Mayberry-like setting of Edisto which is often the reason Edisto's destination is chosen. The island is Edisto, a true quiet, getaway without action except for dealing with mother nature's beauty and its offerings. Blessings for your journeys and future endeavors. Anne

Very serene, high end, and very clean condo. Great place to relax and get away. Really enjoyed morning coffee on the deck overlooking the golf course with Palmetto and pine trees parading the view. Very tastefully decorated.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Since my family and I live nearby in a quaint town named Summerville, we afford the opportunities of many day trips. Prayerfully, retirement at Edisto is just a few years away!
