Year Purchased: 2007

About the owner: I am legal counsel for two business units of Applied Materials, Inc. – an international designer and manufacturer of equipment for semiconductor devices production, based in Silicon Valley. Until 2009 I was the Chief IP counsel for a semiconductor manufacturer in Kalispell, that was purchased by Applied Materials. I presently live in San Jose, with my wife, Debra, who is the chief managed care contracts negotiator for Stanford Medical’s physician groups.

Why the Owner Chose Kalispell:
Large common areas connected to kitchen permits everyone to have space while still being within contact. Private office off common area to address any business requirements. A covered deck spans the entire back of the house, providing a peaceful vantage point to view the river, island, and eastern Swan Mountains. Centrally located in Flathead county, making all the activities the area offers easily accessible. The island across the river provides hours of hiking opportunities, with chances to see eagles, osprey, beaver, ducks, geese and cranes. Deer frequently cross the bridge in the morning and evening, and wander across the property.
