ditto my comments to review done by Chris on 4/27/13. Chris says it all. I couldn't have asked for a better spot for my brief stay, plus I came home learning so much more about coffee growing, harvesting, drying brewing and drinking. Well worth the stay and definitely a return place. A true gem, I just hope it doesn't get too hard to book in the future. Perfect place for 1 or 2 couples or family of 4, even has portable crib available. Trudy and Dave aim to please and it shows!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The website photos accurately depict this vacation house. However, the photos do not tell the whole story. The view is even better than in the pictures because varying amounts of clouds make for a constantly changing perspective and the coffee trees and bordering fruit trees are wonderful to view and enjoy. This rental is a great choice for those who prefer to use a home-like environment as a base for exploration of the Big Island. And Dave and Trudy are absolutely wonderful hosts who are passionate about their coffee farm and the end product they create on site. All of these elements combine for an excellent experience that we highly recommend.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We stayed for only a week, but we wish we had booked for three. The owners are wonderful - welcoming, friendly and responsive, while somehow still making us feel like we had the whole farm to ourselves. The house was even better than described, well equipped, and could comfortably accommodate a family with two kids, or two couples. The real reason to stay here is the location in the midst of a working coffee farm, high above town. At night we listened to crickets and watched the stars. During the day, we swam in the pool, toured and explored the farm, and relaxed on the lanai with a fantastic ocean view. The only thing that was not perfect was the thought that we would have to leave at the end of our vacation. When we return to Kona, this will be our first choice.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Thanks Dave & Trudy - what a place! We enjoyed our Kona vacation so much and this guest home was the perfect launching spot. Great location close to the action, but quite enough to totally relax. We learned so much about the coffee growing and production process. Thanks for sharing your beautiful and newly renovated guest home. [the master bed was extremely comfortable] Would highly recommend and stay here again. Mahalo and Aloha!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.
