This cabin perfectly suited our needs for an extended Grand Targhee ski weekend. It is charming, clean, beautifully decorated, and has a full modern kitchen. And the views - THE VIEWS! Not to be missed, especially if you are looking for some peace and quiet time. The next time we are in the greater Driggs/Teton/Grand Targhee we'll be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers.

Thank you Laurel and Tate for sharing your charming home with us. My husband and I spent 3 nights in February in this wonderfully cozy, comfortable cabin and loved every minute of our stay. We made our reservation at the last minute and the owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. They were extremely helpful with their suggestions on what to see and do and every recommendation they made was spot on. Laurel had even printed out trail maps for us. They have obviously put a lot of thoughtfulness and effort into making this home special and they genuinely care about their guests enjoying their stay. The cabin is spotlessly clean, charmingly rustic yet contemporary with a great room concept with an island kitchen complete with granite counters, stainless steel appliances, wood trim accents throughout, great log furniture, western themed decorations and a wonderfully cozy propane heat stove in the great room. The owners have stocked it with everything we could want. The kitchen was well equipped and the sets of dishes were beautiful. Windows are all around to capture the incredible views of the Tetons on one side of the valley and the Big Hole Mountains on the other. Watching the sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. It was fun having the resident horses in the pastures too. The location is great with wonderful privacy, outstanding views, very quiet yet so convenient to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and the many access points into the national forests and nearby parks. Driggs is only about a 5 minute drive away as were many of the places we explored. The Teton Valley is refreshingly low key, yet has high quality amenities available that you would expect to find in a much bigger resort area like Jackson – just without the crowds. Outdoor recreation is very close by and is pristine and uncrowded. The local restaurants we tried we exceptional. We loved Pendl's Bakery, Teton Thai Restaurant, Warbirds Cafe, and the local grocery store in Driggs is a large upscale supermarket – they were all outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this cabin! We will be back! Thanks again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed here in July 2012 for a week. It was the perfect "home base" for all of our activities. This home is so comfortable and the owners are fantastic to work with. The location can't be beat! Easy access to the Teton River in the summer for fishing, trail access for a hike, and not too far (but not too close) to town. The deck is a perfect spot for relaxing anytime! We can't wait to stay here again when we are in Idaho for a family vacation. Loved every minute of it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed in the cabin in the winter and it was very cosy- we had a wonderful holiday. The property was even nicer than the pictures as the views from inside are amazing. It was clean, the rooms were comfortable and well decorated and the main living area was perfect for our family. Great room to curl up to a book next to the fire. Laurel (the owner) lives locally and was on hand to answer any questions we had about the property or the area and couldn't have been friendlier. The seclusion that the property offered was just what my family was looking for as the kids could play outside with no worries about passing cars or neighbours. However there were so many activities within easy reach. We went skiing at both resorts, went snow shoeing in the area and to Jackson for the day. We've already talked about going back in the summer to explore Yellowstone. Overall I would highly recommend the property- and will be returning ourselves!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2000
About the owner: Jim and Katherine Loveland are outdoor and travel enthusiasts from Seattle who have been visiting Teton Valley since the 1970s. They purchased a vacation home here to enjoy fishing, hiking, golfing and most importantly, to visit their grandchildren! Jim and Kate's daughter, Laurel and her husband Tate, have lived in the valley since 1999 and manage the property. They are full of local's insights and suggestions to improve your stay and make you feel welcome.
Why the Owner Chose Tetonia:
We purchased this property from our daughter when they moved to a larger home in the valley to accommodate their growing family. It has the most spectacular view of the Teton Mountains! We love to sit on the porch and drink coffee in the morning to appreciate the beauty.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
This property had a perfect set up for our daughter, Laurel's, horses when she lived here. Horse enthusiast's are welcome to bring your horses and enjoy riding in Teton Valley. Laurel is a mother of young children and can provide family friendly amenities and wisdom on things to do in Teton Valley with kids!
