Cambridge bungalow description
Our happy little bungalow is a get-away that is comfortable, elegant, private, cozy and memory making. It is far enough away from civilization to enjoy the water, sky, trees and wildlife, without being entirely out of touch. You are in short driving distance to Cambridge, Easton, St. Michaels, and Salisbury for lots of day-trip entertainment. For nature lovers, we are near the Blackwater Refuge for kayaks or canoes. For hunters, this is an area sought after by those interested in ducks, geese, deer, turkey and others. For golfers, there are two nearby golf courses and plenty of varied and highly-rated local restaurants.
If you’d rather stay at the house in a quiet, secluded natural arena, you can enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing, crabbing (right from the pier), swimming, walking, biking, sitting with your favorite folks, or holding down the hammock with a good book. In cool or rainy weather, there are games, books, internet and TV. The house is designed for entertaining, with a brand new kitchen equipped with plenty of cooking paraphernalia, and the living space is conducive to easy conversation and lots of comfortable seating.
There are three different areas for dining, inside, on the deck, or under the pergola, all in view of the Brooks Creek/Choptank vista. It is perfect for a family to get re-acquainted or a romantic getaway. We provide the ambiance, you provide the fun!
Living room with oiginal Franklin Fireplace, 32' flat screen TV, dining room, remodeled bathroom and kitchen, laundry facilities, master bedroom with queen-sized bed, two twin beds in side bedroom with flat screen TV, queen with twin bunk in forward bedroom, large outside deck for dining, separate 15 x 12 pergola with slate flooring, adirondacks, fireplace and dining seating for four. Perfect setting for me and my dogs. Beautiful setting with lots of privacy. My dogs are used to lying outside unattended. No worries about traffic or neighbors here. The University Restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Being part of a General Store made me skeptical at first but I ate there 2 nights and had wonderful meals. I really appreciated how well stocked the house was. For several years I had rented on the Outer Banks. There, the management companies completely empty the house between renters including items like toilet paper and dish washing detergent. Not a big expense but an inconvenience for one person to either bring or buy these items for just a few days. This house had extras of everything.

The place was wonderful and my kids enjoyed it so much. There was fishing, swimming, crabbing and kayaking. They were tired out at the end of the trip. Everything you needed was right there in the house no need to go out anywhere just stay at the house and relax. Would definitely recommend this house to my friends and family. We will be back next summer for sure.

This wonderful home gives the renter everything one could want. I it an amazing place to stay and its proximity to the water makes it ideal for kayaking and swimming. Everything is provided for you-just bring food!! But check out the refrige BEFORE you go shopping. One can use only so much ketchup and mustard!!There are many attractions in the area that will make your stay more pleasurable, Try fine dining at the Lewis General Store which is close by.

Perfect spot :)

We stayed four nights at this beautiful location in early June and highly recommend it! This is a very well appointed home with all the necessary amenities to make your stay stress free. We cooked many fine meals in their kitchen, getting our supplies in Cambridge (Walmart) or at the General Store just a few miles up the road, where you have to try the blueberry-rhubarb pie! Relaxing outside by the water, sipping a glass of wine was also very pleasant. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and was very helpful with all our questions, going above and beyond when we forgot something after we left. I look forward to staying there again if we happen to be in that area in the future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Absolutely a remarkable place to stay and what a view!!!! Yard is fantastic too and dock is incredible! Everything was wonderful and just as advertised and more. In fact, it was a bargain pricewise as I am personally aware that other more distant and less desirable rentals without such a fantastic waterfront were at least $25 more per day. I'd rent this one again in a heartbeat

We LOVED it here. Wonderful home in such a beautiful and relaxing setting. We spent many hours fishing, crabbing, kayaking and just relaxing. My daughter loved playing with all the Barbies and on the tree swing and wooden fort outside. Before our trip I couldnt wait to relax in the hammock, and it did not disappoint. So relaxing laying there looking up at the tree tops and listiening the water and birds. We will defiitely be back next time we come out. Thank you for sharing your beautiful piece of paradise with us!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was spotless. The views from inside the house to the creek was amazing! Although we didn't cook, we were pleased to find the kitchen well stocked. Close to the house was an eagle's nest that provided a few great photos. The General Store was an excellent place to have breakfast, relax and listen to stories from a few local residents. We hope to go back again!

About the owner: We bought this Cambridge property as a family getaway from our full-time jobs in Harford County. Our grown children travel here from various Maryland locations with their friends to do loads of kayaking, swimming, jet skiing, and many kinds of games and outdoor fun.
Why the Owner Chose Cambridge:
The main purpose of this beautiful location is for peace and quiet, beautiful vistas, water, trees and sky. It was discovered with the help of locals who knew of its privacy and scenic view.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
Reading a book under the pergola with a soft breeze blowing in from Brooks Creek, napping in the hammock, or enjoying a fire after sunset with friends makes this a restful, rejuvenating place.
