As you take the gently ascending drive up to The Moose Lodge of Lake Toxaway, Manny the Moose anxiously awaits your arrival and cannot wait to show you the wonderful piece of Lake Toxaway he oversees.
Situated high in the trees between mountainsides, this cabin defines the meaning of "getting away from it all". "No One Can Find You Unless You Want Them to"! The twelve by thirty-four square foot veranda (with ceiling fans overhead, Amish rockers and gliders, and other comfortable furniture), is perfect for reading, napping, quiet games, or just being.
Imagine evenings on the rocking chair porch (off from the veranda), overlooking the lighted landscape and waterfall, relaxing to the hypnotic sounds of the water as it cascades into the pond, where the stately Moose oversees the beauty of the lush hostas, mountain laurel, rhododendron, lovely flowers, and huge trees in a forest that seems to go on forever.
See a sky of stars you never knew existed. There are many activities nearby. Hike, explore, catch some trout in a local pond and cook them in the fully equipped kitchen, or grill them on the large gas grill. Complete privacy and solitude, yet not far to go for a variation of other interest.
Fall time is so beautiful with the color in the trees and the crispness in the air. Enjoy stoking up a campfire to warm the chill and all that goes with it. If winter is when you will visit, imagine this picturesque landscape dusted with snow, nearby snow skiing, and a roaring fire in the large stone fireplace when you return (firewood is provided).
This cozy cabin is wonderful year round. The cabin has natural knotty pine walls and ceilings with skylights, an open kitchen, dining room, and great room floor plan, with windows and sliding glass doors all around, providing open outdoor views, but at the same time it is very cozy! Versatile ambiance, perfect for family, group of friends, or a romantic time with someone special!
Our cabin is tastefully decorated with leather sofa (that folds out into a bed), double leather recliner, another big billowy recliner, large pine dining table and chairs, bar counter with three Amish bar stools, mountain rustic tones, and moose! You Have to love the moose! Rustic wood flooring in dining room, kitchen, and bath,and wall-to-wall thick, plush carpeting in greatroom and bedrooms. You will be cozy and comfortable.
Manny will win your heart and he will look forward to seeing you again, because you will want to come back to renew your senses time and time again!

Readily acessable also is the famous Biltmore House and Winery in Ashville, N.C., the Blue Rdige Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, and Gorges State Park.
