Charleston studio description
Come and experience our Southern Hospitality in this circa 200 year old building located in the very heart of historical Charleston. The Suite has been lovingly restored in Jan 2013. We also have another Suite in this building www.vrbo.com/413517. (see reviews) The charm of yesteryear remains and we have added all the luxury amenities of modern living. The location is the very best downtown, right on Market Street and not - as most vacation rentals - in adjoining residential neighborhoods. We are immediately across from the Historic Charleston City Market dating back to 1804. Walk out of our Suite... immediately outside the door to Charleston's premier restaurants, and easy stroll to The Battery and only two blocks to the Waterfront Park on Charleston Harbor. Our location is second to none...you can park your car and never get back in it if shopping on King Street, dining in first class restaurants, and discovering Revolutionary and Civil War history is your goal. You are sure to find pleasure in visiting one of America's oldest museums, touring the Charleston Harbor by boat or visiting the famous Ft. Sumter, strolling through the historical neighborhoods and sneaking views of private Charleston courtyard gardens. King Street, known for designer shopping and antiquing and is only one block away. We look forward to your visit!

Dear Terri and Carlos, We are having a great stay in Charleston. Your Studio is so clean and charming. I want to live here. You are so kind to leave us with all of these little extras. The wine and chocolate. The biscotti and coffee are the little extras that mean so much. Perfection! I would love to come back. This is going to cost us more than we thought because we have been so comfortable here, I want to redo my bedroom as soon as I get home. I'm dying to know the paint colors and the walls actually glow! Is it a glaze. The furniture is so loving hand painted. It is just dreamy. The bed is comfy and I love your choice of bed linen. I have taken more pictures inside than out.. Thank you again, Buster and Cheryl Siciliano

The Market Street Suite was absolutely wonderful! The decor, the bed, location, hospitality was far beyond our expectations! We loved every minute of our Anniversary weekend. This makes our 5th trip to Charleston for our Anniversary and we were more than pleased with every aspect. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Terri and Carlos!

My husband and I stayed at the 2nd floor Charleston suite for our honeymoon! Upon arrival, we were greeted at the One of A Kind Gallery with kindness and hospitality. Once we got into our suite, we were blown away by how imaculately clean everything was. The bathroom, kitchenette, floors - everything. We felt right at home. Not only is the suite noticeably clean and well thought-out, but it's beautifully decorated! The pictures on the website simply do not do it justice. She shower is much larger than we anticipated, the living area as well. It was the perfect space for two people!! We HIGHLY recommend staying here. To top it all off, the suite is in prime location. We were literally 15 steps away from the market and within walking distance to everything we needed/wanted. We could not have asked for a better experience!! Terri, Carlos, and their daughter are great people to work with. You will not regret staying here. :)

This vacation studio completely exceeded all of our expectations and then some. It was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, stocked with high quality amenities and lots of unexpected extras such as fresh fruit, biscotti and a Keurig coffee maker - we loved all the special little details. The Market Street location is absolutely fantastic and so convenient to everything. It's just a short walk to the Battery, Waterfront Park, excellent restaurants, night life, bars, shopping and tourist attractions. The owners, Terri & Carlos have thought of everything and achieved magnificence! A handwritten welcome note and a bottle of wine were some of the simple, but charming touches that we loved. It was especially nice to sit out on the cozy and romantic balcony to enjoy our wine and the relaxing sounds of the fountain. In short, this property has everything a discerning traveler could want and we can't speak highly enough of our experience! We can't wait to come back! Warmest Regards, Donna Marie & Freddie Paul

The second floor suite was perfect! Because the property was accurately described in the listing our expectations were absolutely met! The suite had lovely amenities, was exceptionally clean, Charleston charming, and very comfortable. The location of the property was "spot on" within walking distance to everything. We felt very safe walking the area in the evening. Terri and Carlos go above and beyond extending gracious southern hospitality to their guests. We have already recommended the property to several friends and family! Thank you Terri and Carlos for making our first visit to Charleston a memorable one. We will visit again and plan to stay in your property!

Great Charleston Trip!
Great Charleston Trip!
This townhome right on S. Market St. is very nice and in a great location. My wife and I celebrated her birthday and we enjoyed every minute of our trip. We walked everywhere and only moved the car to visit Patriots Point. The unit itself is very updated and had every ammenity. The only downside was the noise early in the morning. They have earplugs for you to use! I would stay here again when visiting.

Comfy Studio on Market Street!
Comfy Studio on Market Street!
This studio was so comfortable. The owners thought of everything to make your stay more comfortable. There was water in the fridge, a kurieg coffee machine, chocolates by the bed, a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of bath towels and there was even shampoo and soap in the shower. The studio was just the right size for our get away. It was right in the center of market street. The only problem I had with that was the noise outside. You hear the trolley cars and the garbage pickup in the morning. Over all the stay was perfect and would stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality , made for a great vacation. We love charelston!

The suite was beautifully decorated, with everything we needed, including biscotti, a bottle of wine, coffee, and water. Everything in the suite worked as it should -- plumbing, lights, everything. The location was central and offered easy walking distance to all of old Charleston. There is even a back veranda you can sit on, where it is quiet and restful. The only drawback is street noise, although the windows and shades block a lot of that. To help with the street noise, the owners have added a very nice white-noise machine. The bed is extremely comfortable. We would definitely come here again.

I came to Charleston to visit my daughter at CofC. I truly enjoyed my stay at Market St Suites! A hidden gem, this charming suite was beautifully decorated, quiet, comfortable, clean and fully equipped. The owner Terri brings 'southern hospitality' to a whole new level, including a bottle of wine, sweets at the bedside, Kuerig coffee, even creamers in the fridge. With so much to see and do while visiting Charleston, its great to come back every evening to such a welcoming place to rest your head. It's no wonder that Charleston was voted 2012 #1 city in the world by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. No need for a car, the location is right in the heart of historic Charleston so everything is within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed Cru Cafe for lunches, Coast for dinner and Toast for brunch. My daughter and I also enjoyed the Palmetto carriage ghost tour. Can I just say I was very impressed with my stay and am looking forward to staying there again in future visits!

About the owner: While visiting the area in 1998 we fell in love with the charm of the historical city and surroundings, the Southern hospitality and relaxed lifestyle and decided to move here and make it home! We love it more each year. We opened One of a Kind the year we moved to Charleston. One of a Kind is a gallery that features art and fine crafts from nationally acclaimed artist as well as art by regional and local artisans. We have decorated the Suite with lovely original art by artisans from this region. The gallery is located on the same street as the Suite, only a few door down. Let's keep it all on the same block! ;)
Why the Owner Chose Charleston:
The location is second to none! This is the VERY BEST location in downtown!
The Unique Benefits at this Studio:
The building has a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Shop on the ground floor and opens up to a charming courtyard in the back. There is a complimentary trolley that stops immediately in front of our building and takes you anywhere you could want to go downtown. Bike taxis and horse drawn carriages are just outside our building and a popular way of getting around to discover Charleston's historical treasures and landmarks dating back to the 1600s through 1800s.
