Rockmere resides inside the Valley Trunk community, high upon the rocks that overlook the Baths, Spring Bay National Park, and both Little Valley and Big Valley Trunk Bays. From all the decks you can see the rocks that create the caves at the Baths and those that adorn the bays and beaches from there to Big Valley. The views extend across Sir Francis Drake Channel to Tortola, St. John and beyond. The property's 2 acres are planted to a wide range of tropical trees and flowering plants. The buildings are built literally on the large granite boulders that make up the geology of this part of Virgin Gorda with some boulders forming parts of the structures and pool. With the elevation of the property above any obstructions on all sides, the trade winds provide a cool breeze most times of the day.
The main house consists of a private bedroom with a california King and separate full bath. The living/dining area is one great room that opens onto a deck with breathtaking views. The living area opens on two walls so that living between the deck areas and the inside areas are seamless when the sliders are open in full.
Gemstone is a separate guest cottage across from the main building and consists of twin beds and a private bath. It is air conditioned as well.
Below the main house is another private suite with a bonus bedroom, full bath, and its own deck. This suite also offers both an indoor and outdoor shower and offers its own private path to the beach. The views from this deck are similar to those above just from a slightly lower elevation.

About the owner: My parents have owned this property for more than 40 years and recently transferred its ownership to my sister and me. We live in the USA and visit Virgin Gorda when my parents are up for the trip from California where they live full time.
Why the Owner Chose Little Trunk Bay:
My parents bought this property more than 40 years ago after vacationing in the area for years. They believe, as we do, that this is perhaps the most beautiful beach community in the world. Without a doubt the rock formations make this place exceedingly unique.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
In the morning, we all enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the channel and the Baths and watching the different boats come and go from the moorings. Then its time to explore the beaches. You can walk just a few hundred feet to Little Valley and you will probably not see anyone. Stay and snorkel or head South to the Kraal and Spring Bay where if there is a ground sea, the surfing is great, or head North, over some rocks, to Big Valley where you can walk the long beach lined with palms. If you don't want to deal with people, skip the Baths one day and hike over to Devils Bay and Stony Point where you will find cool caves to body surf through or sit and sip a beer. Head back up the hill but stop at the Mad Dog for a refreshing island beverage and a BLT. You might head home for a nap and a book, or get into your car and explore other parts of the island in the afternoon, but head home in time for a shower and the sunset on the deck again as the sun sets behind Tortola. Dine at home and then finish off the evening listening to the coqui frogs chirping you to sleep.
