  My family, consisting of young children, husband & wife, and grandparents, stayed at this villa and can't wait to return. Before traveling the owner was very helpful emailing important info and suggestions of activities, along with maps & directions that were very useful. Upon arrival we were greeted by the property manager who was helpful with entering and becoming famaliar with the villa. Gorgeous inside and out, we felt so fortunate that we had chosen this villa. The first evening the owner called to check in and make sure that we were comfortable with everything. The villa is so spacious that even with extended family we never felt cramped. The living room area and kitchen open up to the terrace with large glass pocket doors that made the space that much grander as well as allowed everyone to enjoy the beautiful weather all day. We were only an elevator ride down to the beach which most of the time was only occupied by us - it seemed as we had our own private beach. The pools, hot tub, & shared bbq also were only minutes from our villa. Another bonus of staying here was the amenities offered by Palmas Del Mar. We enjoyed a snorkeling trip to Vieques which we began right from the Marina within the resort. Another fun afternoon was spent riding horses through the grounds and along the beach, offered at the resort. The beach club was available to us as well - we all enjoyed the slides and waterpark fun as an alternative from the boogie boarding on the beach. Overall our trip was amazing and I would recommend this villa to anyone!

  We loved the condo and Palmas del Mar! We went to Puerto Rico for a few days in March to escape the winter and rejuvenate and this property was perfect for our family. The condo is beautiful, with new contemporary furnishings and art. The three bedrooms were very spacious, particularly the master bedroom and bathroom. Everything is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The condo was very clean and well-maintained. The views were indeed spectacular, and the pictures don't actually do them justice. We really enjoyed watching the sunsets from the balcony! The condo comes equipped with games, balls, boogies boards and beach towels. We felt we had the best spot in Palmas de Mar at the Marbella Club. The beaches, the pools, the water slides, and ping pong tables had something for everyone. Highly recommend this property and the owners were delightful and very helpful!

  I think I found the ideal vacation spot for my family: the Marbella Club in Palmas del Mar in Puerto Rico. There is a direct flight from Boston to San Juan, which is extremely convenient. It takes less than 4 hours to arrive at this beautiful gated community. Our accommodations in the 5th floor pent house were superb, with very spacious rooms that could easily accommodate up to two families. We had a pool, a private beach, and even a hammock in the front of the building. In addition, we had access to the Beach Club that was a short walking distance away. For our golfers, there were two golf courses, there was also a tennis center with 20 tennis courts. The best part of the penthouse was the views. There were incredible views of the swaying palm trees, the ocean, the mountains, and the islands in the distance. We could not have wished for anything more on our lovely vacation.

  We loved the penthouse at Marbella Club! The ocean views from the condo were spectacular with the blue ocean water, sandy beach and swaying palm trees all in full Caribbean splendor. This is the last building on the developed part of the beach so the scenery couldn't be more perfect. We were a multi-generational party of 7 and felt there was plenty of space for all. We could have easily absorbed 2-3 more people without feeling cramped. The layout was ideal for groups with a huge combined living room and dining room area so anyone feeling social could congregate. Each bedroom had a bath and two had balconies so people could get some alone time as well. We spent a lot of time out on the terrace and were thrilled that it was shaded so we didn't fry. Since it is the top floor, it all felt very open and airy. The terrace holds a full sized table, so people ate meals there, but people also just sat out reading, lounging and socializing. The entire apartment was newly furnished and super clean. Furnishings were modern and sleek-- not full of fussy breakables. There was a full kitchen and we could have made dinners (big grocery stores not far away), but we went the route of breakfast and lunch on the terrace and dinner at one of Palmas Del Mar's restaurants. The master bedroom is huge and beautifully overlooks the ocean. We were in the second bedroom, which is plenty big in its own right and has it's own ocean and golf course view balcony. All the beds were very comfortable. Even the sofabed was declared to be "one of the good kind that feels like a real bed." The whole building was in very good shape and everything seemed fresh and well looked after. Same with the swimming pools and common downstairs patios--everything clean and functional. The parking is underground so the car was cool anytime we needed to hop in. The beach had a natural feel to it, which we liked. From the pool you go down a few steps to a line of coconut trees (I don't know why but I love any place that has "beware of falling coconuts" signs.) Then there is one sandy step down to a mile long nice sandy beach. In the water the beach is pure sand (no rocks that we found anyway) and shallow and had long slow 3 foot waves when we were there. Amusingly both the youngest and oldest generation got really into boogie-boarding and had many many good rides although I'm sure the waves are weather dependent. Overall--5 stars for comfort, style and wow factor.
