Bay Club townhome description
Our villa is newly refurnished this year, in a casual tropical island theme. We have recently acquired this fourth vacation villa in the beautiful Waikoloa Beach Resort. See our first two villas, VRBO#334360, and VRBO#349642, for guests reviews. It is ideally located, just steps away from the pool, tennis courts and spa. Our Hawaiian style townhouse is an end unit with windows on all four sides, airy 17-ft living room ceiling and no one above or below. Privacy is ensured with a bedroom and a bath on each level. We furnish wireless Internet, 3 flat screen TVs, and a DVD Player. Grill fresh fish and enjoy fruit and vegetables from Kona's Farmers' Market in our well-equipped kitchen. Or if your idea of vacation cooking is simply brewing a cup of famous Kona coffee, then many world-class local restaurants await you.
Our Villa is located in a private, gated complex in the exclusive Waikoloa Beach Resort. It is on Hawaii's Kohala Coast with the Big Island's best beaches and weather. It is set among 22 acres of tropical landscaping and palm trees, and is right next to the 10th fairway of the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course. Our guests receive preferred discount rates at both Waikoloa Beach Golf Courses. You can also play tennis, work out in the air-conditioned fitness center, or relax at the tropical pools. One of the two pools features a unique lava rock waterfall and spa, the other pool has an 18' deep children's area.
Waikoloa Beach Resort is a destination resort centrally located on the Kohala Coast, 18 miles from the Kona Airport. It is designed around beautiful, palm-studded A Bay, two terrific golf courses, the Kings’ Shops & Queens’ Marketplace with many restaurants including Roys, Merrimans, a food court, shops, and two gourmet grocery stores.
At Waikoloa Beach Resort, the crescent-shaped A Bay offers a pristine sandy beach with sports activities and rentals, shoreline paths, a giant turtle refuge and ancient royal fishponds, all just 5 minutes away. Nearby at the Waikoloa Hilton, you can enjoy several world class restaurants, or at the world-famous DolphinQuest you can swim with friendly dolphins.
Next to the Kings' Shops, explore Puako Petroglyph Archaeological Preserve with fascinating free tours. Hike or ride a horse to breathtaking hidden waterfalls or fly over the waterfalls and volcanoes by helicopter. Snorkel, swim, sport fish, or go on a day trip to see the volcano, lava caves, or the world's only zoo in a tropical rain forest. Or just relax on palm-fringed beaches or your own lanai.
You will create memories to last a lifetime in this tropical paradise.

Wonderful Big Island Vacation
Wonderful Big Island Vacation
Our family thoroughly enjoyed two weeks at this beautiful Waikoloa Colony Villa and Resort area. The descriptions and photos provided in the listing were accurate and helpful. The property was very clean and well-maintained. This was our first trip to the Big Island. Fortunately, the owners provided an abundance of sightseeing information. The most helpful was a book called Hawaii The Big Island Revealed (it accompanied us on all of our treks). Our favorite Big Island attractions: Hawaii Volcano National Park (visited twice), especially hiking the Kilauea Iki Trail and the Lava Tube; Hawaiian Tropical Botanical Garden (visited twice); Mauna Kea visitor center (star gazing); and the Waipio Valley and Pololu Valley Lookouts. Our favorite food/beverages on the island: Tropical Dreams ice cream; Punalu'u Bake Shop sweet bread; Hula Daddy and Ka'u coffees; and the Kahua Ranch Burger at Village Burger restaurant in Waimea. Our favorite restaurants: Lava Java in Waikoloa Village (breakfast); Café Pesto in Hilo (lunch); Lava Lava Club in Waikoloa Resort (appetizers); and Hilo Bay Café (dinner). We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives and stay here again.

Amazing location for a sunny vacation
Amazing location for a sunny vacation
We stayed here for two weeks in May. We have two children, one 3 and one 6 and found the unit and location perfectly suited to them. It is 10 minutes to Hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches, the ones most consider to be the Island's nicest and 15 minutes from Spencer which is more sheltered and better for much smaller children. We also drove to the north tip of the Island to visit Pololu Valley where they have a lovely smattering of black sand (you can find green sand at the resort beach, Anaehoomalu Bay). We explored the volcanoes, day long trips - these trips were fun (even with the ever changing speed limits) but we found the weather unpredictable and generally rainy everywhere else on the island except where we were - it was always arid and pleasant, and especially after the rain/humidity/mosquitoes of Hilo (and even at Kona it rained a lot) and the absolute drenching in dense fog we encountered on Saddle Road. Jim, the owner checked in with us via e-mail to see how everything was going and even stopped by to replace a bulb that had burned out in the kitchen. The unit is very clean and the complex is absolutely silent at night. Provisions are supplied by the owner including beach umbrellas/chairs, snorkels/masks, towels and even a cooler! At night if it's too hot, the unit also includes a heat pump (like an A/C) and fans in each room. One complaint directed more at the entire Waikoloa resort is that the drive through the complex to get to Highway 19 is more than 5 minutes, pleasant the first few times, less so the 20th time - and strange since if they completed the other entrance, this unit would be a 1 minute drive to the highway. One suggestion for the owner would be more plastic patio cups/plates, with young children, I was always worried about breaking a plate on the Lanai – having said that, a number of paper plates were supplied. Overall, it was an amazing vacation and an amazing place to stay, we will definitely be back on our next trip to the Big Island!

Magnificent, brand new villa in Waikoloa
Magnificent, brand new villa in Waikoloa
My family and I, a total of three adults had a fantastic time in this villa. The place is exceptionally well-kept and the experience was above our expectations from the beginning. The owner is very responsive, accommodating and courteous and was very clear on the terms of the rental agreement. The arrangements for the rental were swift and simple. The house is cozy and decorated in very good taste. It has new appliances, and everything in the house works as it should. The villa is located in a quiet, gated community with a pool, gym, grills and tennis courts. The villa has an outside terrace overseeing a garden, which is itself populated with many native flowers and trees. The community is adjacent to an ancient trail, worth exploring for a work out. Everything in the villa was as described or better, and the price is worth every dollar in my opinion. I would definitely stay here again. As a bonus I didn't expect, the owner has made available a number of amenities for guests including, snorkeling gear, tennis racquets and balls, body surfing boards and beach chairs. Also, the owner has put together answers for pretty much every question guests can have in advance. It shows that there was a thoughtful process to make the guests stay truly amenable. I cannot hardly think of anything that would have made it any better.

My kids even loved how they decorated the condo. It was very comfortable, it was stocked with everything you could think of, like beach chairs, beach towels, tennis rackets, to laundry supplies. About the owner: We live in California, but love to travel to the Big Island several times a year, and love having our villa, as our home-away-from-home. We enjoy the variety of beaches on the Big Island and cannot get enough of exploring new places and hidden beaches. We love to cook, so you'll find everything you need to prepare gourmet meals. Our villa has boogie boards, snorkels & beach gear, tennis rackets, movies, and games. We'd love to have you as our guests.
Why the Owner Chose Bay Club:
We chose this Villa for its superior spaciousness, architectural design, and landscaping. Waikoloa Beach Resort has a central location, with the best beaches and weather on the island. We love the natural beauty and incredible weather.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
With two pools, a tennis court, walking paths, exercise room, and meeting room, this is a wonderful complex for families, couples, singles, young and old. This newer complex is close to the Kings' Shops and Queens' Marketplace of the Waikoloa Resort. We also enjoy the close proximity to many of the best beaches in Hawaii.
