Other Lahaina Properties house description
Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure is just that! From the outside this looks like an old historic house. We are in the National Historic boundary of Lahaina so we desire to preserve some of the history and culture. Once you open the gate the 'treasure' is astounding! The house and Ohana (guest house) has been completely refurbished. Inside you see that you have the only private beach lagoon in West Maui.
Located on Front Street in Lahaina, you are just steps away from all of the best art galleries, restaurants and shops. The Banyan Tree park and The Lahaina Boat Harbor just a quarter mile away. Ka'anapali and Kapalua Beach resorts are a short drive to the north.
Lahaina was the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii during the 1800s. In the 1900s Lahaina became the center of the global whaling industry with many sailing ships located anchored in its waterfront. Today, Front Street has been ranked one of the 'Top Ten Greatest Streets' by the American Planning Association.
Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure's main house has three Bedrooms, 1 full and 2 half baths, and an office. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is right on the water! You will LOVE to cook here! This home has the amenities of flat screen T.V.s in the living room and each bedroom, high speed wireless internet, business center, stereo, DVD & VCR players. The Ohana has its own kitchen, bathroom and outdoor lanai. There is a flat screen TV, DVD and CD players. Outside there is a wrap around stone wall with an outdoor shower.
There is a wonderful patio, equipped with a gas BBQ for your relaxation. You will be amazed at the gorgeous sunsets!!!! Be sure to stay after the sun has set because then the sun rays reflect underneath the clouds to bring you an absolutely fabulous, colorful romantic experience.
During the whale season you will see whales playing just a few hundred yards off shore! And yes, you will see rainbows!
The home comes with surfboards and kayaks which you can launch right from the house. Protected by the reef, the water here is quite shallow and safe. Baby Beach (so called because mothers take their children to this safest of all beaches) is only about a hundred yards away so you can just wade or walk there!!!

A perfect spot for a fantastic vacation!
A perfect spot for a fantastic vacation!
Our family of four spent ten “Maui” days with my brother-in-law’s family of four (four adults and four children ages 12 – 17) in this restored heritage oceanfront Hawaiian home. Don’t be fooled by the street view … enter through the gate and feel “at home” and at peace in this little oasis. The house and cottage are fun and have ample room with all the necessities one needs including hotel quality linens. We ate all our dinners outside as we listened to the waves lap up on the shoreline. Fabulous! The barbeque was large and clean. There are so many highlights staying at this Oceanfront Treasure … watching the whales jump outside the kitchen window as we made our morning coffee, having unlimited access to kayaks, surf boards, boogie boards, and stand-up boards (which were located under the main house with easy access to the ocean), short walking distance to the town of Lahaina (our children often walked into town together to look around or get shaved ice cones), drinking a glass of wine with the home owners who lived next door (two very lovely people), watching the sunsets in the backyard and just feeling like we were a part of Maui. The only negative would be that some road traffic could be heard in the cottage bathroom and in the first bedroom in the main house. We solved this problem by closing the cottage bathroom door and turning on the fan in the bedroom when we went to bed. Baby Beach can be easily reached by walking or kayaking along the water from the house or by walking down the street. Our time, however, was spent at the bigger beaches such as Kaanapali and DT Fleming where the waves are big for surfing, boogie boarding, and just bobbing in. It is only a short drive to these beaches. Note; the best place on Kaanapali Beach is just outside of the Aston at the Whaler Resort and down to Black Rock. The whole beach at DT Fleming is good but it is a bit more of a drive (20 minutes). Our family had a wonderful stay and we were sad to leave our “home away from home”.

About the owner: Aloha we are a fun couple that loves the life we have here in Maui. Every day we are blessed by beautiful sunrises, gorgeous flowers and warm friendly people. We are a blended family, Paul has three adult sons, Eddene has three adult daughters and a granddaughter. We live in a very small home in Lahaina. When the kids come to visit it gets pretty crowded so back in 2007 we decided to buy the house next door so that the family could be close by but have enough space. The house was built in 1937 and needed a lot of TLC. It has been a labor of love. Since the house is often without family present it only made since to start offering it for other families to enjoy for their vacations. We find so much pleasure in meeting people from all over the world and sharing the aloha of Maui. Come join us for happiness and relaxation with many fun things to do. Warmest Mahalo, Paul & Eddene
