This all leads to an environment of being up north. Enjoy awesome sunrises from the wrap around front brick paver patio or sit and relax while taking in the beautiful views of Long Lake. This summer cottage boasts a magnificent exterior and interior while offering extensive glass for your summer enjoyment. A most unique summer get-away awaits your pleasure. This cottage offers a central location on the western shore of Long Lake. Our location is ideal for swimming and boating activities for all ages. Fifty feet of boat dock with bumpers, a ladder for accessing the lake along with a 5000 lb capacity all aluminum vertical boat lift for pontoons is included. At the shore you enter the lake via granite steps. The yard is meticulously maintained while offering a beautifully landscaped environment. Sit and enjoy the fire pit at the waters edge. We supply the fire wood and lawn chairs. You supply the stories and the time. For the adventurer the south end of Long Lake offers an enormous sand bar which showcases the clear and clean waters of Long Lake. Relax on your boat or swim at this most awesome area. This lake has so much to offer. Fishing which offers numerous species along with jet- skiing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, water-skiing from your boat. A full service marina is nearly directly across the lake from our location. Long Lake is nearly 6000 acres in size and approaches 8 miles in length. Average depths range 20 to 25 feet deep.

Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: We are Lapeer Michigan residents and have resided in our home for 27 years. We love lakefront living. Our three grandchildren love staying and swimming at our cottage on Long Lake. We are also lake front owners in Lapeer. My wife and I have been together for forty four years and love traveling in this beautiful state of Michigan.
Why the Owner Chose Alpena:
We purchased this property in 2001/2002. We promptly removed the old cottage and built a new custom cottage over the course of the following two years. We are attracted to the natural beauty and clean waters of Long Lake.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The unique view along with the beautiful location of the property on the lake was exactly what we were looking for during our search for a Long Lake cottage. Our road is a dead end which leads to little traffic. The lake shoreline offers a great opportunity for not only the view but also gave us excellent swimming. Our location is within a 20 minute ride of downtown Alpena which makes shopping and getting to restaurants a breeze.
