We had an absolute wonderful time staying at the Moosehead Lodge! There were 13 of us from ages 4 to 80 and everybody loved it! The lodge itself is awesome and the location is perfect for visiting surrounding areas. We traveled to the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Torch Lake, Turtle Creek Casino and into Traverse City (very close!) and were also able to spend some quality time at the Lodge cooking out and sitting around a campfire! The kids loved the kayak's, the paddle boat, the teeter totter & swings and all the room to run around in the yard. The shallow water at the shore line was perfect for the grandsons! Another big hit was the upstairs living area where the young grandsons could have there own private little place to watch cartoons and movies, they loved it! The guys didn't have much luck fishing, but they said it was because they didn't know the lake. Overall it was the PERFECT place for our family vacation. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of up north Michigan! Our stay was from Sept 3-10, 2011 and we had beautiful weather! Mid 70's and sunny! We would like to thank Lisa and Randy for offering such a wonderful place for a family to vacation!

Just finished a great family vacation. The house was perfect and discribed accurately. We had a couple of small items but the management were there in minutes to take care of. The stream leading to another private lake was like our own sancturary. We had 15 people and never felt like we were crowded at anytime.

We stayed here in June of 2010 and had a great time at Moosehead lodge. This was our 4th annual fishing/golf trip and we are already booking this place for next year. The lake was so clear and it's all sand about waist deep for over 100 yards. We caught many fish and they were delicious. We had full access to the canoes and kayaks provided which was very convenient. The dam that separates the lake and river was so peaceful to listen to it was just like listening to a waterfall. Thanks Lisa and Randy!!
