Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: Our family purchased 9103 in November of 2012. We hope to move to the Destin area in a few years. We vacationed in Destin last summer and fell in love with the beautiful beach, countless family activities, and ease of shopping and dining. It's truly our home away from home. Fishing is easily done on site in the bay, or charters may be scheduled. We currently live in the Chicagoland area, and get to Destin whenever we can. We were most recently there over New Year's Eve where we brought in the New Year with our children at the Harborwalk Village - a must do/see. Our 13 year old son spent most of his time fishing, catching pin fish, or helping his little sister cast her first line. Our oldest daughter spent most of her time at the beautiful outdoor mall. We went for walks on the beach, hiked at Grayton State Park, and got the condo ready for our 2013 guests. We are very proud of our condo, it's truly our home away from home, and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we have in our short time. My son takes fishing very seriously as you can see from this picture, but he did take some time out to enjoy the heated pool, and hot tubs. I guess we will golf during our next visit.
Why the Owner Chose Sandpiper Cove:
We have toured all along Florida looking for property. Being from the Chicago area, I no longer enjoy the cold and snow. My husband is from Georgia and has always wanted to live along the coast. When we visited Destin, we knew we had found our new home. While we can't move there just yet, our five year plan includes relocating to the area for it's proximity to almost anything you can think of including beautiful beaches, good schools, and a thriving economy.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We chose this particular unit because we can see the beach and ocean from our kitchen and living room. I don't mind doing dishes while staring out the window. It also has a backyard area that our children can go out in and play. The crosswalk to the beach is very safe, and I can watch them walk over to the beach to play. I feel so relaxed and at home just sitting in the living room and watching TV with the family, or lounging on the patio having coffee. The large master bedroom with large master bath are so roomy, laundry is available in the unit, and the roomy kitchen and living room give us all enough room to be together but have our own space as well. The second bedroom has a full bathroom as well and the unit sleeps 6 with a king bed, two twins, and a sofa sleeper which is brand new.
