Attached master bathroom outfitted with dual vanity sinks, jacuzzi bathtub and detached shower. Sleeps two: Bright and cheery Girls bedroom, made of up one double bed and one twin-size bed. The Unique Benefits at this House
The location suits our guests perfectly because we're close to the beach, just under 4 miles to the shoreline but just far enough away that you don't have to deal with all the chaos of traffic congestion, parking and noise. But that doesn't mean you're isolated within a 2 minute walk from the house you find restaurants, a beautiful full service grocery store, Starbucks coffee, bagels and juice shops etc. Within a 10 minute walk you find the new outdoor entertainment mall that offers movie theaters, book stores, an abundance of dining options and shopping till your hearts content.
Gorgeous new outdoor mall features lots of dining options, shopping, multi-plex movie theater and seasonal entertainment for kids.
Walk across the street to large Shopping center with Gorgeous Grocery Store, Target, Starbucks, Bagel Shoppe, Jamba Juice, Bank, Dining etc.

My family is rather large consisting of 3 adults and 5 children and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Thompson House during our family vacation. The check-in process was very easy and very accomodating to our needs, which we considered very important after a long flight with 5 young children. Our first impression of the home when we walked through the door was extraordinary and we could not help but to enjoy a feeling of welcome. The home was prepared with may personal touches for our arrival such as the fire place burning, scented candles lit in many of the rooms and a welcome note in the kitchen. The living room was very comfortable and roomy enough for my entire family to relax and enjoy satellite/cable TV. The kitchen is large, modern and spacious. The appliances were well kept and very clean the there was plenty of cookware and plates to allow us to prepare anything we could possibly want. The dining area is very lovely and elegant. The bathrooms are very spacious and were very clean with an abundance of towels and bath necessities available for our use. The laundry room adds an extra convenience and we found the extra large washer and dryer more than adequate. The bedrooms were extrememly comforatable and spacious with fine furinshings throughout and plenty of closet space to place our clothes and belongings. The Thompson house is gated for privacy and security and located in a very nice area that is easily accessable from major highways. There is an abundance of grocery stores, outlet stores and resturants located conveniently close by. The property is also located central to most of the major amusement and theme parks in the Los Angeles/Anaheim area, most within one hours drive. All in all our stay at the Thompson House was very pleasant and key to the enjoyment, fun and comfort experienced by my family during our vacation. We definately plan to stay there again on future family vacations and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

We recently stayed in the Thompson House for our annual family vacation. We usually use hotels as we have 4 couples with two babies total. We were a little nervous when booking thinking we would miss some of the hotel amenities, but were quickly blown away at how great the home is. There is plenty of room for the 4 couples and we had enough room in the bedrooms to put up portable cribs for the babies. Everything is in nearly brand new condition and it was extremely clean. There is plenty of parking and we had ample room to relax at home when we weren't at the beach or other local attractions. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great house with lots of room for people and easy access to all local attractions. We loved it!

Perfect Home Base for a So. Cal Visit

Our stay 5/27/11 - 6/5/11. House is exactly as advertised, photos are true, house is very clean and well maintained. Perfect central location to use as a home base for a So. Cal vacation. We rented as a base for ourselves and out of town guest for my son's wedding. We had 3 couples and 3 adult children staying at the house and were very comfortable. It was perfect!! Were able to host a small family BBQ for family members to meet the bridal family. Everyone was able to take advantage of a Ca vacation, visiting sites and friends in Valencia, Simi Valley, Disneyland, Hollywood, Balboa Beach, Newport. We could have gone to San Diego and Mexico if we had more time. We found a $10 a day bike rental shop in Balboa Beach, and my husband found tons of multi use trails to ride his mountain bicycle. There is so much to do in the area. House is just off the freeway, tons of shopping near by, a perfect location and very clean, comfortable house. The house is like staying in a delux suite at a hotel with more room and a wonderful kitchen to make your own meals. Beds extremely comfortable. I would have loved to stay another few weeks! We were very very pleased and will rent the house again for our next trip to Huntington Beach!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Thompson House from 3/12/11 - 3/19/11. Our family (3 college aged kids, 2 teenagers, my parents and my husband & I) of 9 felt right at home. We were welcomed with a warm fire raging, candles lit and wonderful goody basket (which my kids loved) in the kitchen. My parents stayed in the downstairs bedroom (perfect for my mom who uses a walker) and the kids, hubby & I stayed upstairs. The master bedroom was a wonderful retreat in the evenings with our own private balcony. Our kids had plenty of room as well. The house was very clean and welcoming. The linens/bedding were incredible (soooo comfy). We enjoyed the patio in the late evenings as well. Close to Disneyland, Universal, great shopping and dining. Wonderful stay!

Our family (7 people, including 2 couples & 2 kids and a grandma) stayed at the Thompson House in Huntington Beach for 8 days from 2/18/11 through 2/26/11. It was a great experience. Melissa was great to work with and very responsive from the start. Everything was as described & very updated. When we arrived, there were candles lit, the fireplace was on and there was a goodie basket that I hadn't expected. Great kitchen with updated appliances. Bedrooms were great. Though it was a cold spell in California the week we were there, the kids used the backyard patio. Close to Disneyland. An easy drive to San Diego. Close to the beaches. Really convenient Target, grocery store, restaurants, etc. Couldn't recommend it more.

A nicely laid out home very suited for large families. We had 12 people in the house, and everyone had their own space. The kitchen was well-equiped, and the welcome basket was a nice treat. The house has easy access to freeways to all of Southern California's attractions.

We stayed at The Thompson House . We found it was perfect for our family . The location was great --we went to Disneyland , Universal , Knotts Berry Farm and shopping in Beverly Hills Centre and around Huntington Beach . Nice quiet community with close by ammentities . We had a great time --thanks

We spent 10 days in Huntington Beach as a jumping off point to Disneyland, Legoland, etc. The home is in a perfect location as it was only about 10 minutes to Disneyland and close to all major amenities. Three turns and you are there...very easy to find. My 3 boys loved the big screen tv and the 4 bedrooms. Having your own kitchen was a plus when we came home late and made snacks before bed. The home has a gate that is operated with a remote to get into the driveway in a working class neighbourhood. Melissa who manages the property is always available and was a pleasure to deal with. You will be greeted with background music playing and the fireplace going as a nice welcome.
