First time offered on the rental market, our year round home has one of the best locations on Lake Champlain with over 300 feet of easy access lakefront. Situated at the end of a road on beautiful Summer Point, the views of the Lake and Adirondack mountains are breathtaking as are the picture perfect sunsets. Swimming is made easy with walk in access from the shoreline or from the swim ladder on the large cement dock. Fishing can also be enjoyed from the dock and a mooring is provided for those who wish to bring their boat. There is a two level deck overlooking the lake that is outfitted with Adirondack and lounge chairs and other outdoor furniture from which to take in the view, eat a meal, or star gaze. By land, guests can enjoy horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, and croquet on the large, level lawn or swing to your heart's content in one of two tree mounted swings or hammock. Bikes are also available for exploring the area or riding to the Basin Harbor Club for ice cream. By sea, explore the lake in our Adirondack guide boat (life jackets of all sizes provided) or feel free to bring your own water vessel.
You'll enjoy lake views from every room of the house. On the main floor you'll find the master and quest bedrooms (Queen beds), two full baths, a large great room with fireplace, satellite TV, game/dining table and seating area, fully equipped kitchen overlooking the great room, dining room, family room with satellite TV and comfortable sofa bed, and laundry room. There is also a screened porch on this level that sits just 30 feet from the water and is perfect for nighttime relaxation. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms (Queen and two Twins, each with air conditioning), half bath and a bi-level loft with office area and sitting area. An automatic generator provides power in the event of a power failure.
Basin Harbor Club is within biking distance and offers an 18-hole golf course, tennis, casual and fine dining, spa, ice cream shop, small aircraft landing strip, and the highly regarded Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, all open to the public. Vergennes, 12 minutes away, offers a supermarket, library, churches, several very good restaurants, and other shops. Middlebury is 30 minutes away, Burlington is 40 minutes, and Montreal is within two hours.
Hiking for all ages available within a 20 minute ride on either Mount Philo or Snake Mountain.
For those thinking about renting in the winter - premier skiing is available at Sugarbush, Mad River Glen and Middlebury Snowbowl all about an hour away, Stowe is about 1:15 and Jay Peak can also be done in a day, about a 2 hour drive.
Nearby Attractions: Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Ben and Jerry's Ice cream Factory, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Shelburne Museum. Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Winery, berry picking, mini golf, Button Bay State Park pool, alpine slide at Stowe, drive in movie theater, Lake Monsters minor league baseball, ferry to NY.

My family stayed here over the Easter weekend at the end of March. This is a beautiful spot and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is as lovely, clean and well-maintained as the pictures imply. And the view is stunning! From star-gazing at night to bike-riding during the day, the weather co-operated perfectly. The owners have thought of everything - the kitchen is well-stocked and the game-selection is wonderful. Vergennes is a short ride away for groceries and we took advantage of our proximity to the Ben & Jerry's factory and took a tour which we thoroughly enjoyed. Hurry and reserve your time now, we highly recommend a visit!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
