Beachcombers Bargin

My family and I spent one of our best vacations on Longboat Key in this unit. What you see in these photographs is exactly what you get once you are there. It's a second floor unit that faces what would be called bayside but in actuality, you face the parking lot and street. But don't let that turn you off. All you have to do is walk down a flight of stairs and exit right onto a large furnished covered patio which is right on the beach. We ate many meals right there looking out over the ocean. The lazy might want to take the elevator to the lobby and exit onto the patio next to the pool but this unit is closer to the stair well and that's the fastest way to the beach. The pool is the size of a typical backyard in ground pool. It's clear, clean and cool and exits right onto the beach, very convienent. In fact everything about Beachcombers is convienent. The Publix supermarket is right across the street along with other shops. Its actually quicker to walk to it than to drive to. St. Armands is about a ten minute drive down the street. Great shopping for the wife, ice cream for the kids, and good resturants for the evenings you don't want to use the kitchen. If I sound like I'm over hyping this, I might be, but we enjoyed ourselves so much we're already booked at Beachcombers for this years vacation. Except this time we're spending two weeks instead of one. The only disappointment we had was when we tried to reserve this very unit again, it was already rented. The bright side is we decided to upgrade and get an ocean view unit this year. Beachcombers is probably the best bargin on Longboat. You could pay more to rent on Longboat, but you don't have to.

The two weeks we're spending here is like a little taste of what I consider heaven. I'm so relaxed that I've forgotten the exact date. Connie J. PS. My Mother finally loosened up enough to admit that the tattoo on my foot is pretty, something I thought would NEVER happen. Mary Beth J

My husband and I spent the first week of May in the Butler's condo and were very pleased with our week there. The purpose of our trip was to help me recover from an illness, and this was the perfect place to do so. We have been coming to the Long Boat Key area for 20 years, but this was our first stay at the Beachcomber. We were pleasantly surprised. The unit was beautifully furnished and equally well maintained. The only item we were unable to find while we were there was a scoop for the coffee pot, and not that it wasn't there...we just missed it. The unit is very well stocked with anything you would need for your vacation. The location is perfect, walking distance to the grocery and drug store on the Key. The beach was perfect, as was the pool. The atmosphere was very laid back and relaxed. Obviously, we are Long Boat Key lovers, the area has some amazing restaurants and shopping. And now we are Beachcomber lovers as well! A wonderful choice for a quiet, restful vacation. You won't be disappointed!

Hi James/Marina I cannot find "Write a review" using the link you suggested. But what I can tell you this your condo is probably the best all round location that we have ever had in Florida. I have been holidaying in Florida for the last 20 years. As for the condo itself I would say that the general overall appearance of the place was just perfect spotless in every way. The beach was just out of this world. The swimming pool and area maintained to a very high standard. The lounge within the complex just perfect for a refreshing drink a little relaxation. The area is just perfect for shopping whether for groceries or dining out. I would recommend your condo 'AT THE BEACHCOMBER' to anyone and invite them to get any better. Please feel free to write a review on my behalf. I am Anthony Adamson, we live in Barry a little Welsh town in South Wales in the Vale of Glam organ in the U.K.

We stayed at this condominium the week of March 20, 2010. Everything that has been described in this listing is accurate and the photos reflect the true appearance of this property and unit. Location is perfect. This building is beach front, smaller and much more quaint and private. It was so much more enjoyable than larger properties we have stayed at in the past. It was very relaxing and not the busied lifestyle of getting up and going out right away. We had so much more room and no rush to get up and out like in the small hotel rooms at a larger resort. Everyone could get up leisurely no rush out to breakfast. We had bought some breakfast basics to have around and would then eat lunch & dinner out. They had everything you could need right on the property, And if not the on-site managers could assist you with anything. It was a very friendly building great for families, pool was perfect. There is even a gas grill on the property and everyday people were barbecuing. We were two adults and two teenage children ages 16 and 19 . We all had a great time. There were several guest who had smaller children with plenty for them to do from the pool area to the beach. Sea shells for miles. Publix supermarket and CVS drugs are located directly across the street. St. Armands circle short drive away. Several great restaurants all within short drives. Longboat Key is a great location and I would stay at the Beachcomber and this unit again. The owners were very accommodating and helpful throughout the transacation. Not one complaint from our trip.
