We stayed in this beautiful home over the New Year's holiday. There was nine of us in our party, and the large kitchen and huge kitchen table was plenty big enough so that we could all eat together, a big thing for us since we each take a turn making a meal. The first floor master bedroom is very comfortable with a fireplace and bookshelves filled with hundreds of books. There is too nice rooms for lounging, one with a fireplace, multiple sofas, and plenty of wood and the other a second Den with a large TV. During our stay, we had 8 inches of snow so we enjoyed some great skiing at Jiminy Peak which is 10 to 15 minutes away. Perhaps most impressive, is that the home is surrounded by gorgeous 50 foot pine trees, the perfect quiet and peaceful setting to get away from it all. We found the home to be clean, comfortable, well maintained and as promised in every way. Sarah was wonderful to work with during the rental process, making it very easy to reserve and visit. It would be great to return sometime during the summer to enjoy the outdoors, spacious decks and the pool. We highly recommend this beautiful property.Did you find this review helpful? What a beautiful house to have our small family reunion in recently. Being away from the hustle-bustle of any town made our visit quiet, intimate and rejuvenating. The house itself is very open and comfortable. The living room with several seating areas provided lots of space for visiting and reading. The media room was cozy and inviting (we worked on a puzzle there). Both rooms were adjacent to the kitchen which made for great flow and visiting even while participating in different activities. This house in incredibly appointed with beautiful dishes, great cooking utensils and everything you might need to run a household - even on vacation! The grounds are spectacular! While we were there in August, the flowers were splendid. We were encouraged by the owner to pick some and bring them inside which we did. In the front of the house,we enjoyed playing croquet on the spacious lawn and loved swimming in the heated pool. In the back, we had a number of meals on the large deck which overlooked a sizable lawn including a frog pond and also a forested area. We saw a deer and some wild turkeys. Within a half hour's drive, we went to Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow and some summer theater- lots to do within a short drive. The large , super grocery store was also about 25 minutes away. Our family loved the house inside and out - and we would highly recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.
