We had six adults in the home - four adult children and our parents. The house was clean, very well appointed, and had everything we needed (except one of the women missed having a hair dryer). The location of the house is perfect if you want to walk to the ocean or walk to breakfast or dinner, as it is literally a couple blocks from the water and less than that from a main drag of restaurants, shopping, groceries, etc. The house also has easy access to Hwy. 1 and the scenic drive down to Big Sur. We enjoyed our stay and everyone in the family commented about how much they liked the house...That doesn't happen often. So I would recommend the home highly. Thanks!

Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Butterfly House. We found the house to be exactly as the photographs presented. Beautiful, immaculate, wonderful spacious home for all of us! The owner was gracious and helpful with our inquiries. The kids loved the special children's corner with table and chairs, chalk board, books, toys, etc. Location was perfect for walking to restaurants, markets, coffee shops, etc. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives. We will be back!!!

Our family of 8 adults and 3 kids had a wonderful week in this beautiful house. It's situated very well for walking. We celebrated our 45th anniversary and, for once, everyone was happy with the accomodations and everything else. If you are considering this house, we all say YES! Enjoy yourselves.

The house met or exceded our expectations. With two 6 year olds the four bedrooms upstairs three areas downstairs provided plenty of room. The location for us was very good. We did have to cover the windows in the master bedroom with blackout plastic.

Everything was just perfect. The house is very nice and full of everything we needed. Originally I was concerned about the parking but there are options nearby. My wife and I hosted the groomsmen for our son's wedding and all went off without a hitch. I enjoyed cooking breakfast for my son and his' men the morning of the wedding. It is a memory we will all cherish. Thank you for everything, Mike

About the owner: Born and raised in Pacific Grove I left 25 years ago but always returned to visit family. We have traveled and lived all over the world but something about the magical Monterey Peninsula always called us home. We love coming to this home for family dinners, golf on the fantastic courses, bike rides and walks along the bike trail. It really is the last home town.
Why the Owner Chose Pacific Grove:
The proximity of all the beautiful area has to offer is walking distance or a short drive. We wander through town for a pastry and coffee. Early morning at the tide pools, (right down the street) or just sitting quietly watching for the Monarch Butterflies to visit.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The front parlor has a cozy sitting area with a gas fireplace, the great room has a large dining table and large HD TV and seating area. There is a kids corner with child size table, games, crafts books and a chalk board. The kitchen has a wonderful dining area, all high end appliances, maple cabinets and every thing a cook might need for a dinner party There are wonderful views of the bay from the 2nd floor....
