Our home is a beautiful architecturally significant Prairie Style (e.g., Frank Lloyd Wright inspired) home with large private gardens in the premium Crockett Highlands District of Oakland (close to the City of Piedmont). This light filled home has three large bedrooms, three full baths and one half bath, and a finished basement level with exercise equipment and a laundry with a washer and dryer. It is only 30 minutes to SF by bus (B line stops across the street) 15 minutes to BART and 30 minutes to the University of California, Berkeley. Easy access to HIway 580 . 15 minutes to Kaiser Hospital as well as Children's Hospital. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood but is literally steps from the best neighborhood shopping/entertainment area in the east bay; it features gourmet restaurants, Peet’s Coffee, Trader Joe’s Market, and the highly regarded multi-screen Grand Lake Theater, and a variety of services. A five minute walk west takes you to Lake Merritt Park with recently renovated three mile walking and running path around the lake.
There are hardwood floors throughout with room with area rugs. The kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances and a large backyard features patio furniture including a Weber BBQ and portable campfire bowl for outdoor entertainment and hanging out. One of the largest farmer's markets in the east bay is held every Saturday and offers local fruits, vegetables, prepared foods and crafts. Also, many specialty food stores markets (e.g, health and produce, fast food) are also within walking distance.

We are a multi-ethnic, professional couple with an infant son. We have roots in Thailand and love traveling, music, the arts, outdoor activities, cooking, gardening and eating in the wonderful restaurants in our neighborhood. We have done extensive traveling in Asia and Europe. We take a lot of pride in our city Oakland as well as our home and are excited to share it with you.

This house is much bigger than it sounds in the listing. There is another bed in the basement downstairs that wasn't on the listing either. We enjoyed our stay and loved the neighborhood. Trader Joe's is within walking distance, as well as lots of shops and restaurants.
