I recently rented this house with my wife, 2 year old and another couple who had 2 young girls. All of us enjoyed a great vacation. This home is luxurious and offers a lot of nice upscale details. Updated kitchen and bathrooms, a nice family room with large TV/surround sound/blue ray player and plenty of room for our group to stretch out and get comfortable. The pool was by far our favorite feature and where we spent a lot of time. Multiple lawn chairs and umbrella to get comfortable. The location was good and only 10 - 15 minutes to get to Ft. Lauderdale beach or go a little further on A1A to visit other beaches. Plenty of night life, bars, restaurants, etc. A grocery store and Target were close by and convenient. I would definitely rent this property again in the future. The owners were easy to work with and went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable vacation. A+Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was my 2nd one-week vacation at Brassrail in Wilton Manors. I enjoyed the house so much the first time that I had to return. Everything was just as I remembered it, and in no time at all I was enjoying the pool and lounging outside under the stars. It's a bit extravant for a single guy given that there are 3 bedrooms each with a queen bed and 2 bathrooms. But for the same price as a room in a beachfront resort you get complete privacy, especially in your own pool that is not visible to the prying eyes of neighbours. The ktichen is very well equipped. The media room is a great place to relax at night watching HD television in full surround sound and the beds are extremely comfortable. I had only one issue this time with an unpleasant odor in the living area that I couldn't isolate and therefore could not eradicate. It wasn't bad enough for me to call the housekeeper, but I did mention it to him the day before I left in the hopes he could remedy it for the next guest. The house has everything you need and more, save a box of kleenex for the bathroom (which strangely enough I had to purchase on my first visit). I made sure to buy a box that matched the beautiful decor. One word of caution about using the shower in the master bedroom's bathroom. Unlike the law in Canada where the shower door has to open out as well as in, this door only opens in. It could be a problem in a medical emergency as it might be difficult for someone to reach you if you are incapacitated inside the shower. I will definitely rent this house again. I love the fact that I can walk to the neighbourhood restaurants and bars and not worry about drinking and driving. Publix grocery store is only a mile away and there is a discount liquor store on the next block. Brassrail is a gem. I fear if it grows too popular it will become increasingly difficult to rent. I will need to stake my claim well in advance for visit #3.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the thoughtful review Colin; it was a pleasure to have you stay at the house again. We agree that Brassrail is indeed a gem. Following up on your comments - our housekeeper discovered the source of the odour to be a bird that had perished and lay outside the Florida room under some foliage, unnoticed. It was removed and with it, the odour. Sorry the Kleenex went amiss. We strive for excellence for our guests and will ensure that tissues are provided in the future. You’re most welcome for stay number 3. Mark and Tommy

Review Submitted: April 23, 2012 We are 110% satisfied with this rental. This was our first rental, so we did not know what to expect. The owners did a great job with this home. Everything was high quality. Thank you, we really enjoyed ourselves! We were also very happy w/ the management company. They were very professional, welcoming and responsive while giving us our privacy. Thank you very much! The home was spotless, air conditioning was on, and all the little amenities like soap/paper towels/napkins were there. Of course, this is there to hold you over until you can go to super market. There is a reference book in the kitchen. Definitely, read that. It tells you about the house and the area. The inside: This home is bigger than we expected. The place is 2,400 sq ft and very spacious: 3 bedrooms, dining room, sun room, media room, sitting room. I had all the amenities that I am used to at home, like: Blu Ray player, flat screen, Xfinity Cable. The kitchen is very nice with all new appliances. The bathrooms had very expensive tile and mosaic walls. A big plus was the laundry in the garage. It's a tasteful home. There are 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. This setup is geared more towards adult couples or two small families. I think this place is ideal for three couples or two small families (like ours), who have one or two kids each. We were four adults and two toddlers. The outside: The pool is very nice and there is a large lounge area in the back with lots of lounge chairs. They have two floating, lounge chairs for the pool. I thought the landscaping was very nice and added to our relaxation. It's a very quiet neighborhood and private. We used and liked the outdoor grill. The area: The town is Wilton Manner. I liked this town b/c it was quiet and safe. We did not venture out to eat b/c we have small children and it was easier to eat at home. The beach is about a 10-15 minute drive, depending on the traffic. To put everything in perspective, we're not difficult, but we are picky. This home exceeded our standards. Another big plus is that it's someone's vacation home. I like this concept. We looked at a few other homes, and you got the feeling the owner was moving out for a week. I think that's too much pressure to stay at a person's primary residence. We're responsible adults, but don't want the pressure of dealing with a person that's going to chew you out b/c you broke their coffee maker. Rating 5 out of 5Did you find this review helpful? Review Submitted: February 2, 2012 Date of Stay: December 2011 We rented this wonderful home in Wilton Manor for a family gathering. Seven people stayed there, though you could easily put another person or more kids in the media room. The location was great, we could walk to the Preserve, downtown Wilton Manor, or even just the neighborhood which we did each night. Beautiful, friendly, safe neighborhood that was perfect for after-dinner strolling! The house was very clean, update appliances, washing machine worked well, even the pool was fine for swimming in December. We had all the dishes, silverware, glasses, pillows, towels, etc, that we needed. The house seems bigger than pictures represent. We had family memembers who lived nearby visit us every day and it never felt too crowded. Plenty of seating! The Florida room was a great place to hangout, as was the pool area with lots of seating and table space. I don't typically write reviews, but we were really impressed with this place and went beyond our expectations. Scott, the rental agent, was very nice, easy to work with, and very accommodating (he let us arrive a little earlier and leave a little later since it didn't interfere with other rental parties). I highly recommend this place, espcially if you a place in a cozy, safe neighborhood that has lots of room and lots of character. Rating 5 out of 5Did you find this review helpful? Review Submitted: October 18, 2011Date of Stay: October 2011 What a glorious way to spend a week! I rented the house for one week, October 8-15 2011. I was alone, and even though the house is very large and open, I didn't feel overcome by the space. The layout is superb with completely renovated kitchen and bathrooms. I stayed in the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and sliding glass doors out to the pool area. The queen size bed is very comfortable. The other two bedrooms also have queen size beds. A very large den has plenty of room to curl up on the sofa and watch the large flat screen TV. Wireless internet is a bonus, and I appreciated the ability to print my boarding pass before heading home. The kitchen is fabulous with a large side by side fridge complete with water and ice dispenser. There are plenty of dishes and pots and pans to use, and a super quiet dishwasher for cleanup. The Florida room off the kitchen is perfect for relaxing in while viewing the birds and butterflies playing in the luscious vegetation. Patio furniture is very high quality - 2 sets of table and chairs, 4 sun loungers. There are 2 floater beds for the pool, which is deep (I'm tall, so I loved that aspect). It's very easy to get in and out of the pool using the steps. The filtration is very powerful and the water always looked very clean. The house is centrally air conditioned by two heavy duty heat pumps, controlled by two thermostats. Beach towels and bath towels are plenty, and there is a washer and dryer in the garage that is perfect for doing laundry whenever you need to. The neighbourhood is middle class, peaceful, and you can walk to nearby bars shops and restaurants. If you like the Wilton Manors lifestyle you'll love the location of this house. I will definitely rent this house again. By the end of the week it felt like my own home. Recommended for: Age 55+, Romantic Getaway Rating 5 out of 5Did you find this review helpful?
