This very well appointed 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom 2300 sq ft house is less 4 min walk from The Windansea beach and less than a mile from the shops, restaurants, boutiques and galleries in the center of La Jolla village. The Electric avenue bike trail is at the end of the street providing an quite easy route to Pacific Beach and beyond.
The house has privacy from the street with automatic gated driveway. There is room for two cars in the driveway and ample on street parking available in a very quiet and relaxing neighborhood environment which will help make it a Hassle Free, Relaxing Vacation. The three outdoor patio areas around the home ensure that there is sunshine from sunrise to sunset.

There are two guest rooms and two bathrooms down stairs, the first guest bedroom has a Queen Size bed with TV, Cable and has French doors opening onto swimming pool patio area.

In the family room their are French windows that lead directly to the pool patio, there are two large couches that can be utilized as beds, a queen-sized inflatable mattress is also available. There is small bar area off the living room that has French doors opening onto the heated rear patio.
The dining room features a large contemporary table that easily seats eight.
Walk to Shops or into the Village of La Jolla to enjoy the many restaurants, boutiques and galleries. If you dont want to leave the house - then order in from many nearby Grocery Stores, Carryouts and Restaurants.
Remember to check out the Sunday farmers market on Girard Street.
Other nearby attractions include: The San Diego Zoo, Legoland, Sea World, Balboa Park, Wild Animal Park, Seaport Village, and the Gaslamp District. San Diego International Airport is only 20 minutes away.

My family and I rented the La Jolla rental for Sping Break. The owner was easy to work with, accomodating, and quick to respond to my questions/requests. The home is in a very quiet area away from the noise of downtown La Jolla. I was surprised how nice the home actually is and would definitely recommend this rentalRecommended for: Families with teenagers.

This house was perfect for our recent family vacation. It is quite attractive with lovely gardens. The home is beautifully mantained with comfortable furniture and everything you could need in the kitchen. It feels like you are staying at a friend's home, not a rental. It has two bedrooms and baths downstairs which worked great for our daughter and her family. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in the upstairs master retreat with its view of the sea. The heated pool was used every afternoon even though the high temps were only in the 60s. There is a wonderful park at the end of the block where we would walk in the mornings and the surrounding neighborhood is filled with interesting houses that make strolling after dinner a treat. It is a five minute drive to the La Jolla village so you have privacy and quiet at the house but all the conveniences of town close at hand. We have rented a number of vacation houses over the years and this is certainly among the best. The landlord is easy to work with and very attentive. We plan to book it again for our 2014 visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Grew up in Scotland in 2001 and we emigrated to USA in 2001 we currently live and work in Vancouver Washington. Every opportunity we get we try to spend in La Jolla. Having traveled extensively around the world, stumbling upon La Jolla in 2006, we truly believe that La Jolla is one of the best places to live and relax.
Why the Owner Chose Beach Barber:
We chose this home as it can be both a quiet residential home for our retirement but also makes an excellent vacation home for ourselves and friends. It has absolutely everything you need right on your doorstep. Great weather with lots of sunshine average low is 58 degrees and average high is 72 degrees! but it is always cooler in the evenings. (Sweater or Blanket)

The front part of the property is a bungalow dates from around 1935, with large two floor extension added in the late 90's This home has a heated swimming pool and multiple patios for outdoor living that catch the sun all day long.
