The little yellow cottage is a ranch style house with an open floor plan, living room, kitchen and dining area adjacent with wood paneling and laminate floors throughout. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal and microwave have been updated. Wooded backyard with screened porch (& porch swing) for morning coffee and drinks in the evenings. You're in for a treat if it rains while you're enjoying your drinks on the porch!
Located near Ocean Pines south gate and within minutes to the beach at Ocean City and Ocean Downs Casino on Route 589. Closeby are many of my favorite things! Ocean City Beach and Boardwalk at the Inlet, Dolles, Trimpers, Whiskers Pub in Ocean Pines shopping center, Seacrets, Ocean Pines Beach Club on 49th Street, DeNovo's Restaurant at the south entrance shopping center, the waterpark at Frontiertown, wild ponies and beach at Assateague Island, outlet shopping in MD and DE (tax free!), Carter's! Maryland blue crabs at Waterman's, Cupcakes in Bloom in Historic Berlin, antiquing in Dagsboro/Millsboro, DE, visiting Mrs. Dennis' thriftstore in Bishopville and in season farmers market in Ocean Pines by the Community Center. What a perfect setting for a great family reunion. Three bedrooms, fold out sofa and plenty of floor space. Greta kitchen and screened in back porch. The setting is wonderful, easy access to the area, short drive to the beach, great Crab Shack restaurant down the road, even a casino for late night visitors. My family had a great time would rent the home again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My husband and I have stayed in the house two different years. The second year, we brought the extended family for a reunion. There was plenty of room for extended family to sleep, eat, and be comfortable for a week. We were so close the beach, shopping, and island night-life. There was something for everyone of all ages (6-78). From the cozy kitchen, to the spacious living room, we thought the owner took special care in making sure the house was clean, comfortable and equipped with the amenities. We enjoyed benefits of the HOA pools, barbequing in the back patio, lounging in the living room watching movies and sitting outside on the screened-in porch. The owner made sure we were provided with information about the home, activities in the area and additional contacts. Thank you for making the house inviting and we felt right at home. It's definitely the house we will be returning to again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

I love coming back to this little cottage every year! It is by far the best value in Ocean City. For far less than the price of a hotel room you get a beautifully decorated house with all the amenities! So close to everything- the Chinese place by Food Lion is great! Good size kitchen to cook in and a screened porch to relax bug-free with the kids. I would recommend this house to anyone! My 8-year old loves the seashell decorations!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

I love this little cottage!! The cottage is cute, very clean and well maintained. My favorite spot is the screened porch with the porch swing. It is located in a quiet area but very close the Ocean City and all the attractions. I plan to stay longer next time.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners.

I have stayed here 4 times and would stay here again in a heartbeat. All the amenities were great- as you enter the cottage you see that this is a well-taken-care-of HOME, not some investment property that someone just threw together to make money with. Amenities are great and include a wonderful screened porch with couches- perfect for talking with friends or reading a bedtime story to your kids after a day of eating funnel cakes, What an excellent place to stay! This house truly has a special place in the hearts of our children- they LOVE it and can't wait to go back every year!! Ocean Pines is a very nice, quiet community and it is so close to everything- you have a Food Lion and a Super Walmart just around the corner and many dining options available. Assateague and the Ocean City boardwalk are just a few minutes away. If you are planning a trip to the Eastern Shore I would pick this house over any hotel room or condo hands-down. Go-karts, mini-golf, wild ponies, waterparks, tax-free shopping (Go Delaware!) and so much more are just minutes away, Tastefully decorated by a true Southern Lady's charm, it is a superb place to come unwind after a day of riding the historic boardwalk rides or clamming in the Sinepunxent Bay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

The "Little Yellow Cottage" is like a home away from home. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is plenty of space for more than one family. We were able to enjoy all that Ocean City, MD has to offer, without the hustle and bustle of a boardwalk stay. We will definitely return in 2013!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: I live in the DC Metro area and started visiting Ocean City in the early 70's during the off/winter season staying at my friend's parents new oceanfront condo. It was the first time I'd seen the ocean! That's when I fell in love with Ocean City winters so much! Sometime later, I married a fellow whose folks, for over 35 years, spent the first three weeks in August at one of Mrs. Bradford's little rustic cottages on Route 50, just outside Ocean City. I finally grew up, stopped imposing on everyone and bought my own place in 2002. This little yellow cottage has been a wonderful refuge, a place where I have been able to refresh my spirit. There's so much to do (or not do if you choose) in Ocean City and Ocean Pines. It sounds corny but I hate leaving and I am missing it as soon as I get on Route 90 to return home. I now have two sweet little grandchildren and looking forward to the day they are old enough to come along and enjoy Ocean City with me!
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Pines:
I was always attracted to Ocean Pines because of the 'curb appeal' - beautiful lakes, water fountains and ducks at north and south entrances. The community is family oriented with the best amenities and facilities around. It has indoor and outdoor swimming and the Sport Core Pool is open year round. If you are a golfer, this is the place to be with the world famous Robert Trent Jones golf course.

This little cottage is simple, yet comfortable and cozy. You will feel right at home the minute you walk in the door. The beach at Ocean City is the draw, but there are so many things that put the icing on the cake for an Ocean City vacation when you find a home away from home in Ocean Pines.
