“Thor’s View Lodge: Family fun!”
Thor’s View is a spacious 5 bedroom home located on a large, fenced-in private lot halfway between the towns of Nederland and Black Hawk, Colorado, right across the street from my smaller two bedroom cabin, Black Bear Lodge. Thor’s View occupies three levels: the main level has two bedrooms, a full bath, an wide open, lodge style living/dining/kitchen area that opens to a huge wrap around deck. The top level is a huge loft/master bedroom with walk-in closet, full bath and reading/lounging area overlooking the living room. The lowest level has a family room, two bedrooms, laundry room and two bedrooms. The house has satellite TV, wifi, land line phone and AT&T cell service. There’s also a large stone wood burning fireplace.
The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, half a mile from a very neat restaurant (Roy’s Last Shot) and a liquor store, 3 miles away from the local library and a gas station/conveniences store, and about 12 minutes from Nederland and the Black Hawk/Central City gaming towns. Denver is about 50 minutes away, Boulder about 45.
Thor’s View has the feel of being “away from it all” while actually being close to everything you could need, from restaurants to shopping to entertainment. It’s close to all kinds of hiking trails, from Golden Gate Canyon State Park to various trails along the Indian Peaks Wilderness area along the Peak to Peak Highway.
Pets are welcome at Thor’s View, with an additional pet/cleaning fee and refundable security deposit.
