A second guest bedroom and the master suite are located on the third level. The guest room has a queen bed, a private en-suite bath, and a private balcony. The master suite has a king sized bed, walk in closet, double sink vanity, large bathtub and separate shower. Enjoy the sunrise on the master suite’s private balcony or curl up with a book during the winter months in front of the gas fireplace.

About: We built the house in 1997 along with our neighbors, who happens to be the architect. When the snowfall is heavy, the local elk herd uses our house as a wind block, so there can be 30+ head of elk outside on the hillside.
We have this house in order to be near so many activities. We love to ski, hike, cycle, snowshoe, attend symphony concerts, do the gallery walks, cook for friends, check out new restaurants as well as patronize old favorites.
Why Ketchum: We picked this lot to build as it has sunshine all day year round. Most properties fall into mountain shadows, especially in winter when the sun angle is low. We have the East half of the building, because we like having sun on the patio off the kitchen for breakfast.
The hot tub is located up on the crow's nest, so when you are tubing you can see no buildings, only mountains and sky. BTW: Ketchum is one of the few cities that has a 'night sky' ordinance. This means no up-facing lighting, or strong outdoor lighting, thus cutting down on the light pollution. On a clear nite (which is often) the stars seem to be endless, with shooting stars everywhere.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome: The house is situated at the trail head for the saddle into Adams Gulch. This allows you to hike, snowshoe, and mountain bike easily from the house. We are a couple minutes from town, or the lifts at Warm Springs (which has free bus service two blocks away taking you to the lifts). There are amazing restaurants for such a small mountain town, but we also love to hang out and cook. There are two great grocery stores in town... even a fish/meat wholesaler and wine wholesaler available to the public.
A great outing is to drive to Galena, have lunch, hike, bike or cross-country ski. Lovely setting and wonderful people. They have equipment rentals and lessons as well.
