Gardiner cabin description
Ideally situated on the bank of the Yellowstone river only 4.5 miles from the north entrance to Yellowstone Natl. Park, this cabin allows you to comfortably relax in a peaceful setting after you have enjoyed the marvels of Y.N.P. Everyone will have something to enjoy from the Yellowstone area. There are hundreds of miles of scenery from the valleys, to the peaks and the rivers throughout the area. Paradise Valley, to the north, is only 20 mins away and offers world class flyfishing opportunities. Of course you can simply step out of the backdoor and directly into the Yellowstone River for excellent flyfishing water before or after the May/June runoff. At different times of the year, many of the animals such as the elk, bison, antelope, and even grizzlies from inside the park, make their way out of the park into our own backyard here at the cabin so be alert.
You will find the cabin to be comfortable and relaxing. The bedrooms are spacious and each has its own full bathroom. There is a queen and full bed in each bedroom, with plenty of space for your clothing and gear. The kitchen and living area are adjacent to the covered outdoor patio overlooking the Yellowstone River. A grill is provided for your use, and there is a campfire pit only steps away where many of the community guests gather to share stories of their trips and experiences. There is a washer/dryer in the cabin for your convenience. The weather in Gardiner is suitable enough that the cabin can be utilized throughout the year. This provides all opportunities of enjoyment such as wildlife viewing, fishing, hunting, snow skiing, or just relaxing both inside and outside of the park. I welcome your email or telephone inquiries and questions. I have set the cabin up so that it will enhance your trip (and mine, of course) to the Yellowstone area. Enjoy!

Larger than it looks!
Larger than it looks!
We stayed at this lovely cabin with another family of four, so eight people in total. I was a little concerned it might feel a little too cosy but in fact it was more than suitable for us all. The weather was good so we were able to spread out onto the porch out the back and eat outside too. The cabin was incredibly well stocked with everything you could need and it was furnished to a very high standard. We enjoyed using the fire pit and spent evenings with the neighbouring holiday makers toasting marshmallows for s'mores. Very peaceful and lovely views. Great location straight into Yellowstone park. The ONLYdownside was the four mile dirt road which was very dusty and extremely bumpy. The cabin was so great though so don't let this put you off!

Amazing Vacation Spot!
Amazing Vacation Spot!
Wow! Our vacation was amazing! The owner of the property was a true man of his word and delivered on everything he promised. His cabin is newly updated and clean with modern appliances, furnishings and furniture. There was even satellite television and new Weber gas grill. The owner really went out of his way to cover the details....The towels and linens were top quality and there were all the dishes and cookware you could need. The beds were extremely comfortable. The Iphone music docking station was nice, too. We especially loved the clothes washer/ dryer and dishwasher, which made us feel at home. The cabin feels much larger than it appears in the pictures, and the outdoor patio, grill, lawn and community fire pit are a lot of fun. There was plenty of room for my family of 5. The views from the cabin are amazing and pictures just don't do it justice. While we spent most of our days visiting Yellowstone Park, it was always nice to come back to the cabin and unwind at the end of each day. We saved a lot of money by preparing breakfast and dinner at the cabin and taking a cooler with lunch for the day trips. Picnicking in Yellowstone is Awesome, too! I was worried about not being able to reach all areas of the park, but it isn't a problem from this location. The cabin is 4 short miles from the north entrance (Roosevelt Arch). You have to travel a dirt road to get to the cabin, but I liked the remoteness of it (It's just what we were looking for). The town of Gardiner is very nice, as well. The local people were very friendly and helpful. We did a half-day river rafting trip with "Flying Pig Adventures" and the experience was amazing. We actually rafted past our cabin! We are from Chicago and it didn't hit us until we got home that we were still in "Montana" mode. This cabin is truly a wonderful place to vacation and we hope to stay there again some day.

Cozy cabin by the River
Cozy cabin by the River
This cabin was just right for my family of 5 (3 are teenagers). It has a new owner and he has gone out of his way to make this a great vacation rental. Everything is new and clean and in great condition. The kitchen has everything you need. With all those teenagers, 2 bathrooms and a washer/dryer unit were very welcome! The cabin is right on the Yellowstone River which you can see and hear from the back porch. Each morning I saw at least one rabbit hopping by. We really felt away from it all out there, which is great after a busy day in Yellowstone. The cabin is 4.5 miles from the north entrance to Yellowstone. The road to the cabin is gravel and in good condition. We had no problem with it in our minivan. We enjoyed the town of Gardiner too! It is right at the north entrance. The pharmacy is also an ice cream shop with homemade ice cream -- don't miss it. The local market is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the summer and has everything you need. And if you don't feel like cooking, there are several restaurants to choose from. If I'm ever lucky enough to make it back to Yellowstone, I will gladly stay at this cabin again.

Year Purchased: 2013
About the owner: I am a North Carolina native and current resident. I have traveled to the Yellowstone area almost yearly for the past 21 years. Moving to Montana has been a goal of mine for most of that time and I felt it was a great opportunity to begin that process by simply taking the first step. That first step for me was purchasing this cabin. I have numerous memories of these cabins as I have stayed here on several occasions in the past. So, while I can't be in Montana to enjoy the cabin but a few weeks out of the year, I want to make it available to others so that they might make memories of their own.
Why the Owner Chose Gardiner:
I have enjoyed this area so many times in my life it was time to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the area more often through the year and make the cabin available for others to enjoy as well. I stayed in this cabin several years ago as well as several of the adjacent cabins. The memories I have made it an easy decision to purchase this cabin when the opportunity became available. I have equipped the cabin with my own personal creature comforts in mind and I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as I have enjoyed mine in the past.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Comfortable decorations with a full kitchen, ample bedding areas, modern television, dvr, and satellite tv, with bluetooth accessible audio equipment. Wi-fi is not provided but Verizon provides good cellular service.
