It's about a half mile from the beach and is protected from the winds of the ocean allowing you to enjoy being outside on the deck even on clear winter days! Bring a touch of camping to your vacation by using the firepit on the property for gathering around the campfire to roast marshmallows and make s'mores!
Manzanita is a peaceful, quaint beach town on the beautiful Oregon coast. Located about an hour and a half drive from Portland, Oregon, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy hiking, biking, beachcombing, golfing, kayaking and just about anything else you enjoy about the great outdoors! There are wonderful shops and restaurants in Manzanita as well as in Cannon Beach, which is 15 minutes north.
An added bonus...Manzanita has a unique weather pattern that we call the 'Neah-Kah-Nie Effect'. When the forecast calls for clouds or fog, the clouds seem to stop at Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain to the north of us and at Nehalem Bay to the south and we sit in the beautiful clear skies! Oddly enough, this happens more often than not!

When I contacted the owner of this house it was like calling Mom and asking if the beach house was open. What a warm family feeling we got from the owners.. The views are spectacular from the upper deck and lower deck..Very private with such a warm wonderful feeling of never leaving home...The house was very original in its style, you could tell it was meant for family..Open kitchen makes it great to cook and entertain at the same time.Clean beyond your wildest dreams...You really have to experience the gas fireplace in front of the Big Screen TV just kickin back enjoying life...We are coming back again with the kids as spring break is coming..Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us...It was truly amazing:):):):)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

This beach home was beautifully appointed - and comfortable at the same time! Lots of windows to take advantage of the beautiful views - we had sunshine and blue skies! The great room is spacious but has a cozy feeling, comfortable lounging furniture - an open kitchen arrangement makes it easy to cook and entertain at the same time. Love the big flat screen tv and direct tv options. The description of the house was accurate and the place was immaculate and obviously well cared for. Looked just like the pictures. We definitely plan to return. The restaurants in the little beach town were awesome - great bakery, pizza place, and neighborhood hamburger pub - I think it was called the Sand Dune. Coolest beach town we've been to! Yes, we would highly recommend this house - feels like home only much better!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We love sports and live an active lifestyle along with being diehard fans of the Oregon Ducks! We love to travel to all areas that have the activities we enjoy such as hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, wine tasting, etc.
