I was fortunate enough to spend a weekend at this awesome chalet in June Lake. The owners have really done a number on the property and it has everything you could ask for. The log home is huge and beautiful. All rooms offer great views and the creature comforts are top notch (hot tub, Wi-Fi, full kitchen, nice bar, etc). If you're going to stay/play in June Lake and this place is available, it's definitely worth it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is the 3rd winter our family has had the opportunity to say at the Sierra Vista Chalet. We look forward to our trip to June Lake each year and staying at the Sierra Vista Chalet is a huge part of that. It has become our home away from home. It's expansive interior gives us a chance to spread out and enjoy different aspects of the property. The views from every room are breathtaking; from the snowcapped mountains, to the creek that runs through the property, to the charming neighboring homes. We spend many a morning enjoying the peace and quiet sitting next to the pot bellied stove alight with a warm fire while sipping coffee and staring at the scenery from the kitchen bay window. Our boys are old enough now to explore outside on their own and they never tire of building snow forts or breaking ice in the creek. We prefer now to mostly stay in for meals and cook in the lovely gourmet kitchen, and entertain our friends there as well. The dining room with king size table is fantastic in that it allows us to entertain several groups of friends. However, when we do decide to eat out, there are several choices nearby that satisfy everyone in our group. We love the close proximity to sled runs, both ski resorts (June and Mammoth) and our favorite...snowmobiling! The chalet is also close to markets in the event we should need extra supplies. The Chalet is luxuriously decorated and extremely comfortable. It is always clean and well maintained. The Mud Room is a huge bonus for us as we are active with outdoor activities and this room allows us a place to keep all the equipment and apparel we bring. We enjoy ending our trips with a family night in the Grand Room where we can sit as a family and watch a movie together or play games. The hardest part of the trip is leaving! We never want to. The owners are always kind and accommodating. If you are lucky, you will have the chance to meet them. We will be back again next winter!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband bid on a 5 night stay at the chalet at a local charity event, Waterman's Ball. We had never been to the area before, so we had no idea what to expect. To start off, the owner was very responsive when I reached out to him to book the reservation and was even flexible when I needed to reschedule our arrival date. We hosted our family for Thanksgiving. The cabin had the perfect accommodations...each family had their own room with their own adjoining bathroom. Jose, the concierge, greeted us upon arrival and was very friendly. He answered all of our questions regarding the chalet and local amenities. The wood burning fire place in each of the living areas provided the perfect ambience for a mountain vacation. The cabin was recently remodeled with a lot of thought and care. The windows and sky lights are perfectly placed, so that the best view is visible from every room in the house. The outside jacuzzi is the perfect way to warm up after a day in the snow. I would recommend a stay at this cabin to anyone looking for a high-end, luxury mountain vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We won this place in a charity raffle! We had no idea it would be so plush. This was a great place to stay in and was both secluded but also close to skiing and other entertainment. I would highly recommend staying here.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We won a stay here in a raffle for a non-profit. It's a tremendous and beautiful home, immaculate yet warm and welcoming. You can't be disappointed by staying here and you can only enjoy your time. Once caveat: if you want to cook great food (which you will because the kitchen is great), you will want to bring food with you because local food shopping offers minimal options.Did you find this review helpful?
