We loved this place! It was as advertised. The owner accommodated us re: early check-in and let us stay a little late. The oven did go out but she was great to schedule it's replacement around our request. I would suggest reading the information carefully - I thought it said you might need to bring your toilet paper if you had an extended stay but ours was gone after the first night (my son-in-law had to make a toilet paper run). I believe it said to bring your own in the information - I just didn't read it carefully enough. Also, the pull out couch mattress is in a plastic bag & noisy (pull out beds aren't that comfortable anyway but everyone know that). The property was clean, well-maintained, photos were accurate, dock and view were great and owner was helpful. We would recommend this place and hope to return ourselves.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Vista Rose is a family oriented rental. We will not rent to singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by a adult guardian or parent. For monthly rentals, utilities charges will be added in addition to the monthly rental rate.

Cancellation policy:
There is a minimum $25.00 cancellation fee that is applied to all cancellations. Cancellations must be made in writing or email by the Primary Renter. Cancellations 7 days prior to date of arrival: Refund 100% of payments minus the $25 cancellation fee and non-refundable damage insurance fee. Cancellation less than 7 days prior to date of arrival: The cancellation fee will be equal to one night’s rate – remainder of payments will be refunded minus non-refundable damage insurance fee.

About: I (Barbara) grew up on this lake and later moved to Birmingham for work related reasons, but I always wished to return to the lake to be closer to family. My husband (Rogers) made that dream possible. I graduated from Curry High School and Bevill State Business School. We currently live not far up the lake from the cabin location, but have lived in this cabin as well. It is a great place to enjoy the lake view and water sports, and to walk 'the loop'.
Why Arley:
This home has an incredible view of Smith Lake from almost every room in the house. It has everything one would want for a great lake getaway weekend or extended stay. It it conveniently located on the main body of the water between the Dam and Duncan Bridge (between Rock and Dismal Creek). It is a prefect place for family fun and fishing. It was decorated with an emphasis on giving guest the feeling that the owners love this lake and the great outdoors.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Few homes have a lake view as special as this home provides. It is on the main body of the lake allowing easy access by boat to many favor places on the lake. But even though it is on the main body of a sometime rather busy lake, it is unique in the privacy one feels here. We remodeled just a few years ago with emphasis on making it a cozy lake cottage which expresses our love for this lake and the great outdoors with all of the comforts of home.
